BBTB2 - Valentine's Day Anything Goes

Happy Monday!!!

Today over at BBTB2 I am lucky enough to host this week's challenge.
I decided that it was time to kick it in gear and start thinking about
Valentine's Day :)

So this week I thought it would be fun to do an Anything Goes
Valentine's Style....

So as I was scrolling on Facebook the other day,
I came across a post from my Design Team Sister Sukie over at
Scrappin Dhilly and I immediately fell in love with her
Valentine Topper. (Thanks Sukie!!!)
I knew it was exactly what I wanted to CASE
for this year's Valentine's I make for my
friends, co-worker's, and my kids' teachers.

Of course, it isn't exactly like hers, how could I compete :)
But I did what I could with the materials I had.
The hearts I cut from George, the topper base is from
Elegant Edges, as well as the scallop trim at the top.
The arrow is from Small Talk Frames and Tags.

I rifled through my ribbon bins and found some fun
pieces to use. I also ordered on Amazon a TON of
little key embellishments - which I LOVE, and added
one to some twine and just clipped them all together
with a mini clothes pin I picked up from the Dollar Store.

Of course the chocolates are the Hershey's Nuggets
wrapped in strips of Valentine scrapbook paper.
I also used the cut out hearts from the topper as
confetti in the bag, so nothing went to waste :)

My XOXO stamp is from a Fiskars stamp set
and I decided to do a little bit of blush inking on the hearts.

I really like how these turned out,
now I just need to make 30 more :)

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up! - New Year's Resolutions

Happy Friday!!!

How did your week go?
We actually had some colder temps this week,
but still I haven't even worn my coat really at all!

CRAZY!!!

Cut It Up
Over at Cut It Up we have a new challenge for you...

New Year's Resolutions or Goals

Our Sponsor:
$20 Gift Certificate

My Project:
Okay, so the first thing you should know is that
I don't make New Year's Resolutions...lol :)
However, I always want to keep my house clean
and love "tools" that make it easier.
I asked for a Stair Vacuum for Christmas and I got one...yay!
My stairs always get neglected because I hate lugging
my regular vacuum up and down them.
I LOVE my portable, lightweight, new toy and
will definitely be using it often :)

Sorry, enough about that...

Our Sponsor, Kitten Scraps has some adorable
images and we were able to choose some to work with.
As soon as I saw this cute girl vacuuming, I knew it was the one.

My papers are all from my scrap stash.
I used Mini Monograms to cut out the scallop
and Art Philosophy is a fun cartridge for banners.

My sentiment is from a Fiskar's set
and my enamel dots are from Echo Park.

Please take some time to head over to Kitten Scraps
to see all the fun options they have for
your projects :)

I hope you will join us over at Cut It Up!

Thanks for checkin' in!

BBTB2 - It's Snowy and Cold

Happy Monday!!!

Today over at BBTB2 a new challenge has started
all about winter and being snowy and cold.

I know everyone on the East is experiencing some
crazy snow, but I am in Utah and we have nada!

We are in the upper 40's and sun - CRAZY!!!

Anyway, if we did have snow, my kids would be
outside building snowmen and snow forts
so my card is in hope that we have at least ONE
Snow Day...

I used these two cuts from Simply Charmed.
My paper is from American Crafts and I combined
two stamp sentiments from CardzTV and Craftin' Desert Divas.

The cute sparkly rhinestones are from Michael's.

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up! - Shape Cards

Happy Friday!!!

We are supposed to get snow today here in Utah,
but you never know with our weather,
it could be 70 degrees instead.

Cut It Up

Anyway, over at Cut It Up! we have a new
challenge starting all about Shape Cards.

Our Lovely Sponsor:
$10 Gift Card

My Project:
Okay folks, our awesome sponsor let the DT choose
one of their files to work with for this challenge.
I have had a Brother Scan N Cut for pretty close to a year
and I have been too scared to figure out the whole SVG thing
because I am so used to my Cricut.
Anyway, I decided I would buck up and figure it out
for this challenge because I just love this Snow Globe cut.
I picked this SVG file from the
Holly Days set over at Flourette Bloom.

I just love how it turned out
and even though I feel that my neighbors
who put up their Christmas lights
before Thanksgiving are traitors,
I do have to admit this card put me
in a bit of the Christmas Spirit.

My holly berry paper is from Echo Park,
my red plaid is from DCWV and the
silver glitter paper is from The Paper Studio.

I don't know why I waited so long to figure out my
Scan N Cut, but now that I have, the possibilities
are ENDLESS!!!!

I hope you will join us over at Cut It UP!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Movie or Book

Happy Monday!

Today over at BBTB2 we have a new challenge
create a project inspired by a Movie or Book.

I recently added a couple Disney Princess cartridges
to my collection after finding them on clearance at Hobby Lobby.
So I just had to create a card based on "Tangled"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie!!!

Anyway, here is Pascal, Rapunzel's best friend.
My papers are all from my scrap stash but wanted
to stay true to the color pallet of the movie,
purple and gold, and of course Pascal is green
and I think that combo is fabulous.

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up! - Shaker Cards

Happy Friday!

I had an interesting morning to say the least...
I will spare you the details,
but my big toe is numb from a small procedure
and my body had a slight reaction to the shots that numbed it up...
After nausea, fainting, and some time in the bathroom
I am feeling like a complete spazz!!!
But my toe is better...Yay!

ANYWHO...today is the start of another challenge over at
Cut It Up
Challenge:

Shaker Cards!

Our Sponsor:
Any 3 Sets of Your Choice

My Project:
The Cutting Cafe was generous enough to
send the Design Team different files for
shaker cards.
I loved this pumpkin one and wanted to try it out.
Keep in mind that I do not have an SVG cutting machine,
so this was put together solely by fussy cutting...crazy huh!?!?
Even with the fussy cutting it was a sinch to do,
so you should definitely give it a go.
The paper I used for the inside is from DCWV
and the filler is a combo of sequins and beads.
I added some baker's twine and VWALLAH...
Done and Done...

The Inside...
I also used this sentiment from The Cutting Cafe
for the inside of the card.
My paper is from my scrap stash,
I can't remember what paper pad it came from.
I did ink around all the edges of my card
with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.

I hope you will join us in this Shaker Card challenge,
they are such fun cards to make.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

added embellishment.

The background paper is from Echo Park.

I decided to use the fabulous apple from Doodlecharms -
it's seriously perfect.
I used up some more scraps from my stash
and pulled out some fun red patterned papers.
Added a few green gems for embellishment and
the sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

I decided to make a sign that kids can hold up
on the first day of school so parents can take their pictures.
Isn't your Instagram feed inundated with those like mine is?!?!
I am one of those parents so I am just as guilty :)

Anyway, I used Locker Talk for the cut,
DCWV Grade School paper for the background,
and some textured red cardstock for the base.
I used some foam tape to pop up the image.

I love the bold colors and fun theme for this sign,
so perfect for those school shots ;)

Welcome to another challenge over at BBTB2!

This week the challenge is all about 3D Projects...
SO FUN!!!

I decided to make a cute little pillow box from
Something to Celebrate.

My paper is from American Crafts.

I also decided to add a 3D butterfly.
I used Art Philosophy to cut out this cute image
and just popped up the
middle section of the layer to create the effect.
I used a rhinestone for embellishment.

My sentiment is from a stamp set from
Craftin' Desert Divas.

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week!

BBTB2 - July 4th

Happy Monday!!!

Welcome to another challenge over at BBTB2!
This week was my choice for the challenge and seeing
as how the 4th of July is tomorrow
I though we could channel our inner
Red, White & Blue.

I used the cut from Designer's Calendar for July 4th - LOVE.
I pulled some papers from my stash and just kind of
criss-crossed them for this fun layout.

I love the 4th of July and all that it stands for...
I also love the fireworks ;)

Father's Day on Sunday!

Not. Even. Close. To. Being. Prepared!!!

At least I have a card ready,
thanks to BBTB2 ;)

Our challenge this week is
Father's Day.

I picked up a new paper pad at Hobby Lobby,
I haven't bought new paper for a LONG time!
I really love the masculine colors and patterns.

I used Summer Celebrations for the tie cut
and was inspired by a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Cut It Up! - Summer School

Happy Friday!

It's June!!!
Let summer begin...
and what better way to celebrate than
Summer School ;)

Cut It Up

Today over at Cut It Up! we have a super fun challenge:

No automatic alt text available.

Yep, follow a tutorial!

Our Sponsor:
Heartfelt Creations
$20 Gift Certificate

So my DT sister Katrina recommended a YouTube channel
for some fun tutorials and I decided to check it out!
I highly recommend you take a look at her amazing videos too!

I watched a video on some embellishment paper clips
and I had to try them out.
However, I didn't have any of the cute spiral clips,
so I decided to use clothes pins instead.
I think they turned out super cute!!!

My paper is from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby),
that I picked up years ago.
I cut one of the flowers from Art Philosophy,
the bigger one is 3" and the smaller one is 2".
I inked up the edges with some black ink and added
a black flat back rhinestone for the center.
I used my ATG Gun to adhere
the flowers to the clothes pins.

I really like how they turned out.

I hope you will join us for "Summer School"
this week over at Cut It Up!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!
