Cut It Up #46 - Summer Vacation

#46 Summer Vacation

Sponsors:
A Card Kit

AND

Sample pack of 3 colors of twine

My Project:
We were so lucky as the DT to get
the sample pack from Trendy Twine
to showcase on our projects!
LOVE this twine!!!
I decided to use the bright yellow twine and make a "sun"...
well, I tried to make a sun :)

I am also LOVING the Pack Your Bags cartridge
and wanted to use this fun beach scene.
I also wanted to use one of the fun stamps from
Craftin' Desert Divas Summer Lovin' stamp set
 "Life's A Beach".

Most of my pattern paper was from my scrap stash,
but my b/g paper is from American Crafts.
Michael's had an awesome sale over the Memorial Day
weekend for their paper stacks - $5 each!
Needless to say I picked up one of each that they had :)

Anyway, I feel that this card speaks summer vacation
and I hope that you will show off your summer projects
you create for this fun challenge
over at Cut It Up!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Craftin' Desert Divas - Picture That "Love it"

Hey!

Today, I was lucky enough to showcase one
of the funnest stamps from the new
"Picture That" stamp set over at Craftin' Desert Divas!

Picture That
You can purchase the set HERE.

I absolutely "love it" :)

Tara has done it again with this set - it is fabulous!
There are so many ways you can use these stamps -
cards, scrapbook layouts, mini albums, really, any project!!!

Here is the card I created:

The cupcake comes from Create A Critter and
I used one of the Princess faces from PKS.
I have the cupcake on an Action Wobble too - for extra cuteness!!!
I inked the edges of my cupcake with some ColorBox Chalk Ink
and embossed the cupcake holder with
the Quartrefoil folder from Hobby Lobby.
My paper and ribbon is from American Crafts
and I used enamel dots from Michael's -
I am seriously obsessed with these!!!

I LOVE the cursive writing this stamp is in
and that heart and arrow are PERFECT!!!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Decorate To Celebrate - Graduation or Birthday

Happy Wednesday!!!
Hope you are all having an amazing LAST week of May!!!
Can. Not. Believe. It!!!

Well, today over at Decorate To Celebrate we have started
a new challenge all about Graduation!

I am amazed that it's been 20 years since I graduated from HS?!?!
CRAZY!!!

Anyway, we want to see your
decorations, invitations, gifts,
basically ANYTHING BUT a Card or Layout
for all those graduates in your life!

I decided to decorate a gift box with all things
Graduation.

****WARNING****
****LOTS OF PICS***

I have tried to capture all sides of the box
so you could see all the stamps, embellishments, etc.

The hourglass brad is from Hobby Lobby.

The box comes from Wrap It Up, I cut it at 9".

All the stamps come from a Graduation Set by TPC Studio.
I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I also inked around the edges with some ColorBox Chalk Ink.

This is the top of the box.

I used enamel dots from Recollections for the each of the caps.
As well as some small flat back pearls from Michael's
to add some embellishment.

This is the back of the box with the lid slightly open.

I cut small strips of self-adhesive glitter ribbon from American Crafts
and added them around the box.

I cut some acetate and adhered it on the inside
of the box behind the caps.

Now it's ready to be filled with goodies or a gift!

I hope that you will join us for this challenge,
and remember
you can always link up your birthday decorations too!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Craftin' Desert Divas Fun Fold Grad Card

Fun Folds Linky Party

Sponsors:

Miriams Crafting Supplies: $5 Credit (not on ATG or Shipping)

Close To My Heart
Lucy Kelleher "Close to My Heart": $10 G.C. (Only in U.S.)

My Project:
For this super fun linky party, I created a Tri-Shutter Card.
If you have never made one of these, you have to try it out!
There are some awesome tutorials on YouTube
on how to do these cards :)

FCCB and BBTB2 have new challenges stating today too.
Over at FCCB (see below for sponsor info) we want to see
Graduation projects
and BBTB2 we want you to use
a "car" cut on your projects.

I combined all of them into this fun Graduation card.
I used Wrap It Up for the diploma
and Beep Beep for the convertible car.
The "GRAD" and "2014" are both cut from Plantin Schoolbook.
My papers were all in my scrap stash,
this style of card is perfect to use up scraps :)

All my stamps are from Craftin' Desert Divas.
The "Congrats" and "Wish Big" come from Simply Said
and the "Away we go" comes from Destination Fun.
I did some alteration to that stamp by crossing out "we"
and adding "you" above it with a black gel pen.
I thought it was fitting for this card :)

The enamel dots are from Michael's

This is how it looks folded up :)

I hope you will join us for these fun challenges starting today!

Here is the sponsor info for FCCB:

My Project:
I decided to make another shaker card!

I thought the chevron frame stamp from Tara's "Picture That" set
would be the perfect outline for the shaker!
I stamped some white cardstock with some teal ink,
then cut out the "window" with a craft knife.
I stacked more cardstock with "windows" cut out
on top of each other so there was a "pocket" to fill with beads and sequins
I didn't do that by hand :)
I used my Cricut and the George cart to help make that easier!

My beads and Hawaiian "sequins" were both from JoAnn's.
The flowers are from Recollections and Studio G.
My paper is from The Paper Studio's (Hobby Lobby) Khloe Lane stack.

I topped off the shaker with the sentiment "Mahalo"
from the new Destination Fun stamp set...
Perfect for this card!

Here is a close up of the shaker and stamps:

Now hop along to the amazing Michelle

CardzTV - Graduation Challenge

 I AM SO EXCITED!!!

I DESIGN FOR

This is my first post as a DT member for Mary over at CardzTV!!!

I have to tell you when I first started getting involved with
card making and the Cricut at the beginning of 2011,
I found this "little" YouTube channel called CardzTV
and started getting "taught" by Mary.
I seriously watched EVERY single one of her videos!
I have learned so much from her,
practically everything I know about making cards,
I learned from her!
She inspired me - still does - and I thought to myself
(more times than once),
"I want to be just like her when I grow up"
:)

I was also so intimidated and in awe of Mary,
that I would never leave her comments,
just admired her from afar,
so now being on her team
and the fact that she knows my name
is CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY to me!!!

Anyway...

There is a new DT for CardzTV,
and they are all so extremely talented!!!
Mary also has a whole bunch of fun
and exciting challenges coming up,
so I hope you will stay tuned
and participate along with us :)

The challenge that is starting today is all about
Graduation!
We want to see all your cards and projects
that have to do with this momentous occasion!

My Project:
This is the card I made for my Dad!
He is in his 60's and finally got his Bachelor's Degree!
I am so proud of him!

I used Create A Friend for this cute little graduate
and Elegant Edges for the shaped mat.

I used Mary's "This N That" stamp set for the "Way to Go!"
LOVE this set!

The inside:
This sentiment comes from Mary's
new stamp set "Congratulations"

This set contains practically EVERY occasion you
could congratulate someone for - LOVE it!!!

Please swing on by CardzTV to see all of the other DT projects
and join us for this challenge!

You can purchase any of the CardzTV stamps HERE.

I am also going to enter this card into My Craft Spot's Congrats/Grads challenge.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Here's the video:
