Decorate To Celebrate - Mother's Day

Today over at Decorate To Celebrate we are starting a new challenge
to help you get ready for Mother's Day!!!

What a wonderful way to pay tribute to our Mom's by creating something for her!

I have put together this flower pot by painting a terra cotta pot with some yellow acrylic paint
and filled it with rocks and some greenery.

The wooden tulips I painted brown and used Mod Podge to glue different paper to.
I inked around the edges with some brown chalk ink for added texture.

I painted some wooden dowel sticks with green acrylic paint and attached the flowers to them and stuck them in the pot in between the rocks for extra support.

The tulle comes from Hobby Lobby and I just tied that around in some big bows.

Super simple!

I hope you will join us and show us your decorations/creations!!!
And remember you can always show us Birthday party decorations,
just not cards or layouts!

Hello all you fellow Divas!
Welcome to another Linky Party for Craftin' Desert Divas!!!
Guess what's right around the corner?!?!
Mother's Day!
Can you believe it?!?!
My poor husband, we have our Anniversary, my Birthday, and Mother's Day
all within 2 weeks of each other -
GREAT for me, not so much for him :)

Anyway, we all love our Mom's so why not show it by making a special card for her
and showing all of us what you came up with!

My card was created using the Freshly Picked, Elegant Edges, and
Art Philosophy Cartridges.
My paper is all from Bo Bunny's Isabella 6x6 pad.
I used Prima flowers and some pearls from Recollection's.
The "Love You" stamp is from TPC's Greetings set and the
"Happy Mother's Day" is from Hero Arts Celebrate Everyday set.

I am also going to link this up over at DL Art, Hiding In My Craft Room and Sisterhood of Crafters.

BBTB2 - Birthday Cakes

Well, it's Monday.
Hope your weekend was great and that you are ready to start the last week of April!!!
Today over at BBTB2 we have a super fun challenge for you - Birthday Cakes!!!
I myself am not a fan of cake - never really liked it - I've always LOVED Cheesecake and I do love a good pie - but cake and cupcakes have never been a temptation.  Call me weird, I know, but that's just me :)

I do, however, like to use cakes and cupcakes on my cards because there are SO MANY cute cute cute images on all the different cartridges Cricut has made.  So the cake I chose is from Everyday Pop Up Cards, and I know I have been using this cart on all of these challenges lately, but I LOVE it!!!  So fun!

Anyway, my pattern paper all comes from Crate Paper "Party Day" 6x6 pad,
and I really like the antique/aged look to the this paper.
The tones are so nice and now that I am writing this
think I should have inked up all my edges - Oh, well!

I rounded all my corners with The Paper Studio's Large Corner Rounder
and my sentiment stamp comes .from TPC's Greetings stamp set.
I just had an old button in my stash and tied some jute twine through for a bit of embellishment.

I hope that you will join us this week over at BBTB2 for this fun challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up

Challenge #43 Birthday Cards

Sponsors:
May Arts Ribbon Trio

AND
$15 Store Credit

My Project:
Happy Friday!
I am actually kind of glad to have a project that isn't Easter related :)
It was a nice change to put together this fun Birthday Card,
and I hope you will join us for this challenge over at Cut It Up!

I used Art Philosophy for the present cut out and the scallop border along the side.  I cut the border out at 1" and the present out at 2 1/2".  Most of the paper comes from My Mind's Eye Tangerine 6x6 pack and then some scraps that I had in my stash.  The layout is from Mojo Monday's sketch they issued this week, so I will be linking this up over there and My Craft Spot has a challenge to use a banner or tag.  I hope that the banners I used on my card will qualify :)  I will also enter this into Pause Dream Enjoy.  My twine is from American Crafts and I popped up my mats and present on some foam tape.  The pearls are from Michael's Recollection.

Thanks for checkin' in!

If you are interested in purchasing the Art Philosophy cartridge, or any Close to My Heart products,
you can do that HERE.

And remember, if you place an order of $50 or more you can get the Stamp of the Month for only $5!!!

Decorate To Celebrate - Easter Part 2

Happy Wednesday!
Today over at Decorate To Celebrate we have
another challenge for you
- Easter Part 2 -

I really do LOVE Easter and I always love adding
to my decor collection for this holiday!

One of my favorite decor projects is to take a
4x4 ceramic tile from Home Depot
and decorate it up with paper and phrases and fun cuts!
For this tile, the paper (from The Paper Studio) had the perfect phrase,
so I just cut the cute little bunny and bird from
Stretch Your Imagination and added them to it.

I used Modge Podge to glue the paper to the tile,
then I popped up the cuts with some foam tape.
I tied a bow out of some tulle and hot glued it to the top,
as well as the tulle on the back to create the "hanger".

Doesn't get easier than that :)

Be sure to join us for this second part to our Easter Challenge
and check out the design team projects -
they will for sure inspire you to create something fabulous!
As always, you can link up a Birthday project.

Thanks for checkin' in!

BBTB2 - Use A Bunny

Over at BBTB2 this week, we have a challenge to use a Bunny - so fun!
Every year I host the Egg Coloring Activity for the Egg Hunt on Easter.
I LOVE coloring eggs!
This is the invitation I made for it for all my nieces and nephews.
I used the bunny from Create A Critter 2 as well as the basket, eggs, and "Egg Hunt" phrase.
My paper comes from Hobby Lobby.
I just printed out the invite from my computer and adhered it on the back.
It's just a 5x5 postcard front and back.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge!!!

I will also be entering this into Little Scrap Pieces, My Craft Spot, and Exploring Cricut.
