Wooden Eggs on Display
I got my Easter craft done and I still have a whole week left! It's a miracle. I love wood/paper crafts and I found these wooden eggs at The Wood Connection. That store is so dangerous for me to go into :) I decorated these by painting them with acrylic paints, modge podge, and paper from the Pocket Full of Posies stack from DCWV and Colorbok glitter paper. I used WeRMemory Keeper's baker's twine and a string of flat back pearls from Recollections. The paper flower is cut from the Paisley cart and I layered different sized flowers to make a 3D look. I really wanted to use a prima flower, but didn't want to have to go buy one thing for the project. Just used what I had on hand - paper. I am going to link this project up with Decorate to Celebrate's challenge "Easter". You should really check out this challenge site if you haven't already, it's so fun - LOVE it!

Let It Bee...
Hey All! I have another card for you :) This one I came up with by putting a few different challenges together. Paper Playtime's challenge is to use a bee; My Craft Spot wants you to emboss or use Glossy Accents; and Whimsical Designs wants to see buttons and bows. This cute little bee comes from the Paisley cartridge and the tag comes from Once Upon a Princess. I used Glossy Accents on the bee's cheeks and the little flower he is holding, it's kind of hard to tell, but they are glossy. I embossed the black mat with Swiss Dots (LOVE that folder!). I also used Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Bracket for the border. I really like the pop of pink among the black and yellow, it cheers me up! Hope it does you too :)
"Eggs"tra "Eggs"tra Read All About It!
Wow, did I ever have a creative brain freeze when I was trying to put this card together. MojoMonday has a challenging sketch this week...at least it was for me. Anyway, this is what I was able to do with it after playing around with different papers and ribbon for longer than I want to admit. I am also entering this into BBTB2 "Egg"ceptional Easter Eggs and Celebrate the Occasion "Happy Easter". The scallop and circles are from Mini Monograms, the eggs and grass are from Create-A-Critter 2. I think there should be a rule that Easter should always be at least 3 weeks away from St. Patrick's Day. It's just crazy how close they are this year. I just took down my St. Patty's Day Decor last night and am trying to get my Easter stuff up. There are projects I haven't even started yet for Easter and I only have a week and half left to get them done! AAHH! I will just calm down and craft on...

Spring is in the Air - FCCB Challenge #153
Are you ready for another challenge over at FCCB? The Design Team has come up with some amazing inspiration for you to play along with us for the "Spring is in the Air" challenge. All you need to do is use a kite or a balloon on your project. I am so anxious for spring to get here, we had a taste of it last week, but now it's cold again - BOOOO! I need WARMTH! Anyway, this is what I came up with for the challenge - "let's go fly a kite..." The kite is cut from Designer's Calendar, and I popped it up with some dimensionals. I tied baker's twine for the bows on the tail. The clouds and flowers are cut from April Showers, the grass is cut from Plantin Schoolbook. I used dimensionals on the clouds and the first two layers of the grass hoping to get a better sense of depth. The sentiment was just printed out on my computer, I didn't have an actual stamp with that saying. I hope Spring gets here soon :)

100th Post - Lucky Charms!
I was so excited to get my early Birthday/Mother's Day presents in the mail yesterday! Four new cartridges, including Create-A-Critter 2! I just had to get it out and make one last St. Patrick's Day card using this cute little worm! I love all the little accessories in this cartridge and as I was putting this card together they just reminded me of charms...so here is my Lucky Charms card. I used glitter paper for the little worm and popped him and the charms up with some dimensionals. I used Fiskars corner punch Sea Pearls and the paper is from The Paper Studio All Seasons pack from Hobby Lobby. This card is going to be linked up to a few challenges - Little Scrap Pieces "Luck of the Irish", More Than Favors "Something Green/St. Patrick's Day", and Die Cuttin Divas "Green and Gold". I hope everyone remembers to wear green tomorrow!!!

Erin Go Braugh
So, I don't even know what Erin Go Braugh means. I know it has something to do with St. Patrick's Day and all, but no, don't have a clue! I should ask my dad who spent two years in Ireland 40+ years ago. I know I could research it online, maybe I'll do that instead. Anyway, this card was created for the Crafty Cardz Challenge "Erin Go Braugh" and Whimsical Wednesday "Happy St. Patrick's Day". It's a very basic card, nothing too fancy, but it looks very Celtic to me. The only cut images are the shamrocks and they are from Designer's Calendar. Can't believe St. Patty's Day is almost here!
Baby's 1st Easter
This Easter will be my baby's 1st so in honor of her, I decided to make a card to put with her Easter Basket. Of course I will be making a card for my son too, but this card fit nicely into a couple of challenges this week! BBTB2 "Bring on the Bunnies", My Craft Spot "Sweet Baby", and Mojo Monday provided the sketch with their challenge this week. This is so girly and sweet, I just love it. The bunny baby is cut from Simply Charmed, but when I had it put together as the handbook displays, I thought something was missing. I pulled out Create-A-Critter and used the belly from the rabbit on that cart as well as the bow from the poodle. It just added that little something. The scallop flower is cut from Home Decor and the circle and scallop border is from Plantin Schoolbook. I embossed the base mat with Swiss Dots and inked the yellow mat with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. The two cuts are popped up using dimensionals. This was a fun card to make, especially with my sweet baby in mind.
