St. Patrick's Day/Think Green

Here is a card I created for My Pink Stamper's (www.mypinkstamper.com) challenge from the blog hop on Friday night. Since St. Patty's is on Saturday, it went without saying the challenge would be something to do with this fun holiday. I didn't have a shamrock cut, so I used hearts instead. These hearts are cut from the George cart. And instead of making it a card that could only be used for St. Patrick's Day, I made it a general "Good Luck" card. Hope you like!

Playtime with Flowers

Here is a project I just finished that is definitely not my own idea. I saw it at the beginning of the Country Life cartridge booklet and thought I would give it a try. I found a really cute shadow box frame at Hobby Lobby that I painted and then cut out vinyl lettering from Lyrical Letters to go along with the picture. This project is for the paperplaytime.blogspot.com challenge to use flowers for your project. I do like how it turned out, even though I didn't think of it entirely on my own. Hopefully, my interpretation of the idea is original enough.

Yummy Birthday Card

CardzTV (www.cardztv.blogspot.com) has a challenge this week titled "You Take the Cake!". We were challenged to create a birthday card using a cake or cupcake. One of my new cartridges I got for Christmas was Birthday Bash, so I decided to choose a cut from that cart. This cupcake turned out pretty cute. It has been a while since I used Stickles, so I glittered up the sprinkles and cherry a bit.

Two Challenges, One Card

I was excited to work on a card for my good friend whose birthday is this weekend, and when I saw some challenges issued this week, I knew I could encorporate them together. Fantabulous Cricut (www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com) and Whimsical Designs (www.whimsical-designs.com) issued challenges to use the colors green, purple, and turquoise and to use a sketch template, respectively. I have never used a sketch to start a card with, and I thought it would be good for me to stretch my brain a little. Of course, it's not exactly how the template is laid out, but I figure it is close enough. I had fun with the color combo too. I used Birthday Bash for the present and tags along the side and used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots to emboss the small purple mat. Hope you enjoy!
