Skating Beauty

I can't believe it! I have made a card for some challenges that I am not on the DT for! It's been far too long since I participated in some of my favorite challenge blogs.  I combined Mojo Monday (Tall and Skinny), My Craft Spot (Polka Dots), Die Cuttin' Divas (Winter Fun), and Exploring Cricut (Blue, Cricut Cuts, Pattern Paper) into this one card.  I used Winter Woodland for this beautiful image of an ice skater - and can I just say that I am SUPER excited for the Olympics!!!! Ice skating is one of my favorites to watch, so I made this card with that in mind.  Anyway, my pattern paper comes from an All Seasons Pack from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby), the skater's outfit is from DCWV Linen Shimmer/Glitter stack,
and my ribbon is from American Crafts.  The two circles are cut from George.
I love the blue color scheme to this card - perfect for winter!

Hello! Welcome to another wonderful Monday of Challenges!!!  This week I have combined the two DT challenges over at BBTB2 and FCCB, although my card is not showing over at FCCB :)
Anyway, I have a friend that is going to have a baby in the next few weeks and I wanted to put a card together for her so BBTB2's challenge was PERFECT for this occasion!  FCCB's challenge is to Mix and Match 3 different pattern papers.  I used paper from My Mind's Eye and the cartridges Art Philosophy and New Arrival to put this together.  My video goes through how it came together, so I hope you will watch that!  And if you are interested in purchasing the Art Philosophy cart, you can shop with me over at molliesmotif.ctmh.com anytime!

My Project:

Hello!!! How is everyone's Saturday going? I am hoping to have a very productive one :) But this week over at HIMCR we have a challenge that might take you away from being productive outside the craft room!  We want you to create a card or project for or about someone you love.  The DT had the opportunity to choose from some of the Template Dreams kits for this challenge and I just had to work with the "Nuts For You" kit! SO CUTE!!! The squirrel is so stinkin' adorable and the papers and embellishments are to die for!  So this is the card I came up with.  I am not good at, nor have patience for, "fussy cutting", so I kept it to a minimum with this card.  I did my best around the flowers and popped them up on some foam tape, but the squirrel, yeah, she got to stay in a straight edge square :)  I decided to cut the "nuts about you" stencil from "Just Because" Cards on my Cricut, and popped that up on some foam tape as well.  I think it turned out pretty cute and I am thinking I will give this one to my husband for Valentine's Day, along with a jar of some type of nut.  He would like that :)  Anyway, I hope you are able to join us for this challenge and be sure to check out the DT's projects - they are always amazing!!!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #67 - Valentine Treat Bags

Can you believe that we are already prep'ing for Valentine's Day?  I can't, so I sure am glad that we have a challenge going on over at Decorate to Celebrate to help us get going!!!  Yep, that's right! We want to see all those amazing ways you like to put treat bags together for this "LOVE"LY holiday!

One of my most favorite ways to put treat bags together is with some Hershey's Nugget Chocolates.  My first and foremost love in crafting is PAPER!!! and I LOVE to find fun, cute, fabulous paper and show it off! And this is the perfect way to do it.  Wrap those chocolates around with your favorite paper by cutting strips that are 1" x 3".  Use some good, strong adhesive and apply it on each end of the strip - wrap it around evenly, and WhaLa!  SO CUTE!!!  You can use any size cello bag you want, mine is, 3 1/2" x 6".  My topper is made by folding over a piece of 4" x 4" cardstock and stapling it to the bag.  Then just decorate that with more cute paper.  My heart image is cut from Cricut's Create A Critter 2 cartridge and my sentiment is from CardzTV "Happy Days" stamp set.  I used foam tape to pop the image and sentiment flag up off the topper.  SO EASY!!! I am planning on having my son give this to his preschool teacher next month, while I think of something else for the kids in his class :)

Be sure to check out the other awesome treat bag ideas from my DT sisters over at Decorate to Celebrate - I'm sure there is something to get you inspired - and moving - before this holiday gets here :)

Too Cute By Jessica $20

Lovebug Creations $5.

My Project:
This Cupcake Shaped Card comes from the Something To Celebrate Cricut Cartridge.  There is a Card Creative Feature on this cart, and I LOVE it!  This adorable little cupcake card was cut at 5" but the layering is cut at 5 1/2".  The yellow frosting is cut with some glitter paper and looks FABULOUS in real life - this picture doesn't do it any justice.  I decided to emboss the underneath frosting with Divine Swirls.  The rest of the paper I found in my scrap stash so I am not sure where it's from, but I do love the pink polka dot as the wrapper.  I hope you will join us for our Shape Card Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas and please make sure you check out the DT's cards - they are AMAZING!!!

BBTB2 - Get Well Soon

This week over at BBTB2, it's my turn to host the challenge!!!  I decided that because it's winter, one of the things that we deal with is sickness - I know - NO FUN! But when someone does get sick, isn't it always nice to send them a little card wishing them well?  So I figured this is a great time to stock up on our
Get Well Cards.

My card was made as follows:  The flower was cut from Forever Young (flower2) cut at 3 1/2" and Elegant Edges scallop mat cut at 4". The paper is from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad and Recollection's ribbon and flat back pearls.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's "Feel Better Soon" stamp set.  Super easy to put together.

I hope you will join us this week over at BBTB2 for our challenge!

My Project:
So, I just have to say how much I LOVED working with the paper I got from the Paper Temptress!!! The DT was able to order some for this challenge, and I couldn't be more happy with my choices.  First off, I LOVE the shimmer and shine to this paper - BEAUTIFUL!!! Secondly, it cut and embossed PERFECTLY!!!  What more could you ask for in paper, right?  Anyway, I decided for my CAS card to make a Valentine's card.  The sketch comes from Mojo Monday, so I will link this up over there.  I rounded all my corners though, using my large corner rounder from Hobby Lobby/Paper Studio.  I used Swiss Dots, Divine Swirls, and Doodle Hearts embossing folders.  My hearts come from the Sweethearts cartridge and my sentiment stamp is from a Fiskar's mini set.  I will also be linking this up over at Little Scrap Pieces.  I hope you are able to join us this week over at HIMCR for our CAS challenge!  Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Birthday Cards With Number/Age

Hello! and Welcome to another challenge hosted by Bitten By The Bug 2! This week we want to see all your cards/projects that feature a Birthday theme including numbers and/or the age.  I have created a fun little card for my nephew who is turning 6 at the end of the month.  I used the Birthday Bash cartridge, which is an AWESOME cartridge featuring cute animals holding numbers/ages.  I improvised a little bit with the shark, he is supposed to be holding a 5, but I stole the 6 from a different page and modified it to work with the shark.  So the shark is cut at 4", the 6 is cut at 2".   (Check out my Video to see how it all worked out).  I have the shark on an Action Wobble which makes it that much more fun!  The base card is even cut from Birthday Bash - another fabulous feature of this cart is the card/tag creative feature - some amazing options there!  The water paper comes from Colorbok paper I purchased at Wal-Mart.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer and used some We R Memory Keepers Baker's Twine to top the card off.  I hope you are able to join us this week over at BBTB2 for our Birthday/Age challenge!
I am also going to enter this card into the Fun Friday Linky Party over at Little Scrap Pieces and the Action Wobble Challenge of Unusual Pets - I think a shark would be an unusual pet, don't you?

We, the DT, were lucky enough to try out some super cute digi images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this hot air balloon was so fun, I had to try it out!  Again, my coloring is so sad, I need so much practice, but that's okay.  I used my scraps, so I don't know where the paper came from, but the jewels are from Freckled Fawn.  Hope you are able to join us this week at HIMCR and use up some of your scraps!!!

My Project:
Welcome to another challenge over at Cut It Up!!!

For this challenge we want to see white (in honor of winter/snow), but also add a dash of color.  I used this opportunity to make a Valentine's card.  When working with white mats, the best way to add texture/ dimension to them is to emboss!!! That's my personal preference anyway :) I used two embossing folders for this card - Cuttlebug's Floral Fantasy and Paper Studio's Medium Polka Dots.  My heart shape/image comes from Art Philosophy.  I hope you are able to join us for this challenge, I'm anxious to see how you make your white cards "pop"!

Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #66 - Snowflake/Snowman Decorations

I am so excited for my first post as a Decorate to Celebrate Design Team member!  And this year DTC has changed things up a bit - there is going to be a theme and you can either create a project with that theme, or submit any decorations you create for a birthday.  The first theme of the year is Snowflake/Snowman Decorations.  Let's celebrate everything wonderful about snowy nights, snowball fights, and even Frosty the Snowman with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!  You have until 11:59 pm, Tuesday, January 21st to link up your projects and be eligible for your chance to win from our sponsor this challenge, Norma - Pink Bling Crafter!
We are excited for the changes and hope you are too!

For my project, I decided I needed a Winter Centerpiece for my table, and came up with a Snowflake Bouquet.  I used Cricut Art Philosophy's snowflake1 and snowflake2 to create this fun decoration.  I alternated using some aqua blue paper, some solid and some with subtle patterns, and white cardstock for my snowflakes, cut them at various sizes and adhered them to some white floral wire.  My vase is filled with white batting for a snow effect and tied some tulle around it.  I think it turned out super cute!

Hopefully you have checked out all the other DT projects - they are fabulous!
And be sure to link up your decorations, I'm anxious to see what you come up with!

Thanks for checkin' in!

Here's a close up of the snowflakes, you can see the aqua pattern paper a little better.

I will also be entering this over at Craftin' Desert Divas Winter Linky Party.

Craftin' Desert Divas - Winter Linky Party

Today is my Design Team post for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas!

This week's theme is WINTER!! The awesome sponsors this week are

Miriams Crafting Supplies: $5 Credit (not on ATG or Shipping)

Here is my Project:

Welcome to another amazing linky party over at Craftin' Desert Divas!  It's all about Winter this go around - and clearly that is more than applicable --- BRRRR!!! How cold is it where you are? It's been cold here, but we haven't had too much snow, which is a disappointment for my son - he is dying to build a snowman!  So I decided to create a snowman card to appease him until we get some more snow.  I used the Create-A-Critter 2 cart for this cute little guy, and what makes him cuter? He's on an Action Wobble!!!  I have a video to show you all the details of the card, so I hope you'll watch.
Thanks for checkin' in!!!

I decided to pull out my Live Simply cartridge and use one of the cute little bird images for this card.  It is Bird1 and I cut it at 2".  My sentiment is from TPC Studio "Brush Stroke Greetings", and I stamped it with ColorBox Chestnut Ink.  My paper comes from Heidi Grace Designs 6x6 Sunshowers paper pack.  I embossed the bird wing with Cuttlebug's Birds and Swirls folder, the branch with Paper Studio's Wood Grain folder, and the yellow mat with Darice's Flower Frenzy folder.  My ribbon is from JoAnn's and my paper flower is from Michael's.  Maybe I am just too anxious for spring to get here, but this card cheered me up from some winter blues!  Hope that you are crawling along with us at FCCB and checking out the new DT members!

BBTB2 - National Hobby Month - Craft your Hobbies

Oh, it's good to get back to a routine and start crafting and creating again!!!  This week over at BBTB2 we have a challenge showcasing the fact that it is National Hobby Month.  Well, to say that crafting is a hobby of mine is a bit of an understatement, it's more of an addiction :) But I would say that cooking and baking is a hobby.  I don't love it like I do crafting, but I enjoy trying new dishes and continually perfecting the old ones. So for my project this week, I decided to do a mini album recipe book.  I have never done a mini before - I don't scrapbook - so it was fun to create one! I used the From My Kitchen cartridge for the tab pages and all the images.  I used my Zutter Bind-It-All to put the book together.  The pages are big enough to fit 3x5 recipe cards in the pockets.  The pages are cut from chipboard so it is thick enough and sturdy enough to hold up in my recipe book cupboard.  I hope that you will join us over at BBTB2 for our fun challenge this week and am anxious to see what all your other hobbies are!
Thanks for checkin' in!
