Cut It Up! - New Year's Resolutions

Happy Friday!!!

How did your week go?
We actually had some colder temps this week,
but still I haven't even worn my coat really at all!

CRAZY!!!

Cut It Up
Over at Cut It Up we have a new challenge for you...

Image may contain: text
New Year's Resolutions or Goals

Our Sponsor:
$20 Gift Certificate

My Project:
Okay, so the first thing you should know is that
I don't make New Year's Resolutions...lol :)
However, I always want to keep my house clean
and love "tools" that make it easier.
I asked for a Stair Vacuum for Christmas and I got one...yay!
My stairs always get neglected because I hate lugging
my regular vacuum up and down them.
I LOVE my portable, lightweight, new toy and
will definitely be using it often :)

Sorry, enough about that...

Our Sponsor, Kitten Scraps has some adorable
images and we were able to choose some to work with.
As soon as I saw this cute girl vacuuming, I knew it was the one.

My papers are all from my scrap stash.
I used Mini Monograms to cut out the scallop
and Art Philosophy is a fun cartridge for banners.

My sentiment is from a Fiskar's set
and my enamel dots are from Echo Park.

Please take some time to head over to Kitten Scraps
to see all the fun options they have for
your projects :)

I hope you will join us over at Cut It Up!

Thanks for checkin' in!

Cut It Up! Breast Cancer Awareness

Happy Friday!!!

Oh my goodness, can I just list all that is going on in my life right now?
It would take up too much of my blog, so I will spare you.

Anyway, a new challenge has started over at Cut It Up!!!
Cut It Up

Our Challenge is:
No automatic alt text available.
Breast Cancer Awareness.

Our Sponsor:
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps
$15 Prize

My Project:
Unfortunately, I was not able to use the awesome ribbon
die cut from our sponsor,
instead I pulled out my Pink Journey cartridge
and cut out this pretty pink ribbon.
I also used Mini Monograms to cut the
scallop circle and then I cut that in half to use as
added embellishment.

The background paper is from Echo Park.
I love the printed message on the paper and
thought it was perfect for this card.

I hope you will join us over at Cut It Up
for this challenge.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

One Stamp Set

Personally, I am all about the sides on Thanksgiving,
not necessarily the bird :)

But here is my project:

I used the turkey from the Animal Kingdom cartridge.
All my papers were in my scrap stash,
so they are from different packs.

My sentiment is from CardzTV "Going in Circles"

I did follow the sketch from Mojo Monday this week.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge
this week over at Cut It Up!

Craftin' Desert Divas - Bugs & Kisses

Happy Thursday!!!

I hope you all are having a fabulous week so far!

I am so excited for my Daily Post over at Craftin' Desert Divas today!
I LOVE the sentiment "bugs & kisses"
from the newly released Lil Bit Buggie set.

This set is AWESOME!
There are some fabulous, one of a kind sentiments
that Tara has come up with and I LOVE them all!
You can purchase this set HERE.

So here is my card...

I had so much fun making this card
centered around the sentiment!

My little grasshopper is cut from the Live Simply cartridge.
Although I added some kissy lips :)
The scallop heart border is from Spellbinders Edgeabilities.
I actually combined two different sets of border dies
one from Classic Scallop and the other from Classic Postage Stamp.
I LOVE how versatile these border dies are!

And if you didn't catch it, the lips are from one of the hearts
in the border after I cut it out of some red cardstock.
I used my Cricut Cuttlebug with the Spellbinders.

My pattern paper is from the Heidi Grace Sunshowers
6x6 paper pad - LOVE this paper!!!

I used some rhinestones from Michael's
to add a little bit of bling to the card.

I used some yellow Trendy Twine, too
(sorry I don't know the official name of this color).

My little scallop circle for the sentiment is from Mini Monograms.
Don't you just LOVE the smaller case letters on this stamp?
I do!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!!!

I am also going to link this up over at Pause Dream Enjoy
for the Kids Challenge.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

CardzTV - Queen For A Day

SNIFF SNIFF!!!

CLICK HERE TO ORDER CARDZ TV STAMPS!

I am so sad that my time as a CardzTV designer has come to an end!!!

It was such an honor to be working with Mary
and all the other amazing DT members!

The last challenge that we were given was
to create a Feminine Birthday Card using
3 Pattern Papers

So here is what I came up with:

I followed a recent sketch from Mojo Monday
and really loved how feminine this card turned out.

My papers all come from My Mind's Eye
Lost & Found Market Street 6x6 paper pad.

The crown image is from the Home Decor Solutions cartridge.
I cut the base image out at 1 1/2.
I also cut the blackout and shadow and layered them all together.
The crown is popped up on some foam tape
to stand out from the b/g paper.

My scallop circle is from Mini Monograms and I cut it at 4".
The circle was cut from George at 3" and the
scallop border was cut from Elegant Edges at 1"
I cut the banners freehand.

My ribbon is from Michael's as well as the flowers and flat back pearls.

The sentiment "Queen for a day!" is from
CardzTV's "This N That" stamp set
and the inside sentiment is from "Happy Days"

I just used some scraps left over from the front to create the bottom border.
The scallop is from Elegant Edges, cut at 3/4".

I hope that you will join us for this challenge
and I will sure miss seeing everyone's projects :(

I am going to be linking this up over at
Die Cuttin' Divas - Anything Goes challenge too.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - BEE-utiful Summer

Bitten by the Bug 2
Happy Monday!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today over at BBTB2 we are starting
a new challenge all about BEES!!!

There are so many cute bee images on
so many fun cartridges,
it was tough to decide which one to use!

I haven't used the bee on the
"Just Because" Cards cartridge,
so that's what I chose!

My paper comes from Prima Marketing "Doodle Deux"
that I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
I used vellum for the wings of the bee and popped
the image up on foam tape.

I cut the scallop circle from Mini Monograms
and the circle from George.

The enamel dots are from Recollection's (Michael's)
and the sentiment comes from Craftin' Desert Divas
newest stamp set Lil Bit Buggie.

I even have a video to show how it all came together!

I am also entering this into Little Scrap Pieces.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

My Project:

What a week! My family got home from a FABULOUS vacation on Friday, but the entire way home we took turns (sorry for the TMI) throwing up!  I am convinced that we got food poisoning and it was BRUTAL!!!  So trying to recover from that horrific end to our wonderful trip, I needed to get my project done for Craftin' Desert Divas and FCCB!  I decided to combine the challenges because they are both related, and given my state of exhaustion I figured I'd be okay doing this.  I always try to have one project per DT I'm on, but I just couldn't do it this week - forgive me!  I even put together a video for you to see how it all came together, but you might be able to tell in my voice that I wasn't all there :) Anyway, I used Create-A-Critter 2, Elegant Edges, and Mini Monograms for this card.  All my papers come from Doodlebug Designs "Home for the Holidays" 6x6 paper pack.  Please check out my video for all the other details of how I put this together.  I hope that you will join us over at CDD and FCCB for the challenges going on and for your chance for some fabulous prizes!  I am going to link this up over at Little Scrap Pieces and An Inky Situation.
 Thanks for checkin' in!!!

HIMCR Super Scraps Saturday - You're A Doll

Cricut, Paisley, Action Wobble, Freckled Fawn, Happy Birthday Card

I am LOVING Super Scraps Saturdays over at HIMCR!!! It really forces me to use my scrap stash and I realize that I still have some awesome choices of paper as I look through them!  I would venture to guess that we all have awesome paper in our stashes that we can pull from to create cards or layouts, so I hope that you will join us this week for our challenge!  We also have a fabulous sponsor for the week - Freckled Fawn.  They were so nice as to send the DT some of their unique and fun embellishments to use on our projects, and I really liked incorporating them on my card.  My card is made using the Paisley cartridge, Elegant Edges, and Mini Monograms.  I also put my doll on an Action Wobble - so so so FUN!!!  I have a video that shows how the card all came together, so I hope that you will watch!  And please stop by HIMCR and link up your projects using your SUPER SCRAPS!!!

What Problem?

It's the start of a new linky party over at Craftin' Desert Divas  -- "Say It With A Sentiment".  We have some AWESOME sponsors too!!! KaDoodle Bug Designs is offering $15 and The Robin's Nest is offering $10, so be sure to get your projects linked up!!!

For my project, I decided to use a stamp set that I have had for almost a year and have never used!!! I bought it specifically for the sentiment "I don't have a problem with Caffeine, I have a problem without Caffeine" - LOVE IT!!! I'm a HUGE Diet Coke lover and this sentiment is perfect!!! And although my card is based on coffee, I don't drink it, but my sister does and I will probably send this to her :) Anyway, I have put together a video for you to show how it all came together...hope you'll watch!!! My image is from the Christmas Cheer cartridge and my paper comes from Basic Grey "Paper Cottage". I used the embossing folders "Curl Ribbon" from The Paper Studio and "Birds and Swirls" from Cuttlebug. I am also linking this up over at Little Scrap Pieces.
Thanks for checking in!!!

Cut It Up Challenge #28 - Going In Circles

Cricut, Wrap It Up, Mini Monograms, Itty Bitty Stamps, Unity Stamp Co,

Happy Friday!!! It's another start to another AWESOME challenge over at Cut It Up Challenges! We want you to start "Going In Circles" with your projects.  Load your projects up with circles and use a die cut (it can be from any machine/tool).  We have some AMAZING sponsors for this challenge too! One lucky winner will win 5 Itty Bitty stamps from Unity Stamp Company AND a $20 coupon code to As Cute As A Button!  So make sure you get your projects linked up, there is plenty of time!!!

For my project, I used the Button Bingo Itty Bitty stamp that Unity Stamp Company so graciously sent me to build a "fun and games" birthday card for a pre-teen boy.  My pattern paper all came from DoodleBug's Day to Day 6x6 paper pad that I purchased from The Royal Castle Shoppe on FB.  I used George to cut out all my circles, Mini Monograms for my letters, and Wrap It Up for my game controller and "jacks".  I also used Swiss Dots, Modern Wallpaper, and Chevron embossing folders to add some dimension to a few of my cuts.  Be sure to watch my video to get all the crafty details of my card...it was super fun to put together!!!

Joy in July - Rudolph Style!

Cricut, Create-A-Critter, Christmas Card, Rudolph, Mini Monograms,

Fun! Fun! Fun!, another Christmas in July project!  Little Scrap Pieces, BBTB2, and HIMCR have all issued challenges for Christmas in July.  Seeing as how it is almost August, they barely squeaked by :)  This fun card was made using Create-A-Critter and Mini Monograms.  Cute little Rudolph, he just makes me smile, was cut at 3" and popped up on some dimensionals.  The "JOY" circles were cut at 1" with two shadow circles behind; one at 1" the other at 1 and 1/4 inch.  My patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Dear Santa stack.  The ribbon is just a silky/satin white, not sure where it's from.  Hope you like!

FCCB Challenge #170 - Fruit Salad

It's another Fabulous Challenge Me Monday over at FCCB - Fruit Salad! This week we are challenging you to create a card, project, or layout using any sort of fruit.  So get those Cricut's chirpin'!!!  Here is a video of how I went about putting my card together:

I used Celebrate with Flourish for my YUMMY! Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Mini Monograms for the flower/scallop the strawberry is popped up on. I inked the edges of my awesome new paper (My Mind's Eye Indie Chic) with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. I found some flat back pearls from a Michael's $1.50 bin that worked perfectly and my sentiment, well watch the video to see how that came about :)

Cricut, Celebrate with Flourish, Mini Monograms, Tags Bags Boxes and More, Cricut Cards

The inside of my card I did something a little different. I have never done this before, but I made a little pocket, like you would for a mini album, and a tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. There is space for another sentiment stamp on the front of the tag and the back is ready for a hand written note. You could also use the pocket for a gift card or something fun like that! I do like how this card turned out and I am excited to actually give this one away!!! (I find myself hoarding my cards - does anyone else do that?)

And because the papers and colors for this card are some of my absolute favorites, I am going to be linking it up with Whimsical Designs this week.  Hiding In My Craft Room's challenge for the week is Freestyle, and Paper Playtime's challenge is Pattern Paper, so this fits the bill for those too!
