BBTB2- Nativity

It's Christmas Week!

Awesome!

Today over at BBTB2 we have another Christmas/Holiday
Challenge-
Use a Nativity or Menorah.

I chose to use the Nativity from Winter Frolic.
I used a PKS baby face instead of the cuts from
the cartridge. I think it is adorable.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

I used some silver glitter paper for the add ons.

Cut It Up - Tic Tac Toe

Happy Friday!

Welcome to December and
the Christmas Season!

We are in full swing over at Cut It Up Challenges
with today's challenge!

Our Sponsor:
Prize: $5 Store Credit

My Project:

Digital Delights donated some super cute digi's for us
to choose from for our DT Projects,
I chose this adorable elf.
Now remember digi stamps and coloring are not my
strengths, so please forgive the amateur job.

Anyway, the Tic Tac Toe combo I chose was
Embossing, Glitter, Elf.
My Embossing is the red mat with Holly.
The Glitter is on the hat;
I used Wink of Stella on the white front,
it's just hard to see in the pick.
I also added a glitter gem.

I hope you will join us over at Cut It Up
for our Holiday Tic Tac Toe challenge.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Happy Thanksgiving

Hello! Happy Monday!

Today over at BBTB2 we are challenging you
to include the word "Thanks" or "Thanksgiving"
on your cards or projects.

I found this "Happy Thanksgiving" phrase on the
Create-A-Critter 2 cartridge and wanted to use it.

I found some fun fall colored papers and layered them
to create this card.

I was lucky enough to have some Enamel Dots
that coordinated, so I used those to embellish.

I hope you will join us this week over at
BBTB2!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Football Season

Happy Monday!!!

Welcome to another fun challenge over at

This week we want to see Football themed cards.
Either kind of Football will work :)

For me Football means NFL and Fantasy Football!
I love Fantasy Football, although this year I am
not having a winning season :(
Oh well!

I used the Create-A-Friend cartridge for my images.
I cut the football at 18", if you can believe it!
It's only meant to be a small image because it is in
the hands of a football player, but it didn't prevent me
for enlarging it :)

I love the background paper too!
It is from Karen Foster Design's "Sports" 6x6 paper pad.
I found it on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $2.87 :)

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 for
our Football challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

I love Fall :)

This week over at BBTB2 we have a super fun challenge

I used the Small Talk and Frames and Tags
cart for my project.

I thought of doing this card as a thank you for
the photographer who will take our family pictures next week.

The papers are all from Recollections.
I used a lot of foam tape to create a 3D effect
with the frame layers.

I really like this color combo too :)

Flowers, Pearls and Rhinestones were just in my stash.

Decorate To Celebrate - Happy Halloween

Happy Wednesday!!!

It's my first post back from "the summer break"
over at

I really love being a part of this Design Team,
it helps me get out of my card making routine
and gets me to think of other fun projects to make.

So for my project, I decided to use a Flocking Kit from
My Mind's Eye.

Did I miss the craze when this was the thing to do?
I was fortunate enough to have gained a bunch of new
items in my crafting supplies/stash and this was one of them.

Anyway, I took a small tile that I picked up at Home Depot
and flocked it with some fun Halloween images.
It was super easy and NO MESS!!!

Added some ribbon to top it off,
and now it is my first Halloween Decoration in
my new house :)

I hope you will show off some of your fun
decorations over at Decorate To Celebrate!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Happy Days - Retro Style

Happy Monday!!!

Well, I have made some progress in my craft room,
but still have a ways to go.
I at least have my desk set up and all my
carts and paper are pretty accessible - YAY!

Over at BBTB2 this week, I had the privilge of
choosing the challenge theme and I chose...
RETRO!!!

But seriously folks, let's keep it to the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
The 80's can't possibly be considered retro,
I can't be that old :{

I used my Nifty Fifties cart for this awesomely RETRO TV!
LOVE IT!!!

My layout is from Mojo Monday's challenge a few weeks ago,
but I wanted to use it for this card.

My paper is from Recollections
and my sentiment is from
CardzTV's Happy Days Stamp Set.

Such a fun card :)

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week.

Decorate To Celebrate - Be Happy.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Welcome to another challenge over at
where Anything Goes :)

For my project today, I needed to keep things simple :)
My life is CRAZY right now and half my
craft room is packed away waiting to move.

So with what supplies I still have access to,
I decided to make a super cute wall decor tile.

I started with a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 porcelain tile
I picked up at Home Depot a while back
and adhered fun textured cardstock to it.

I then cut out my favorite flower from George
using some spring patterned paper along with a shadow.
It is cut at 3".

I stamped a simple sentiment from
Studio G at the bottom,
added twine to hang it with and
WHALA!

Done and Done :)

I hope you will join us over at Decorate To Celebrate!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Happy Friday!!!

What a week! How's yours been?

Well, in honor of April Fool's Day today
Cut It Up wants to see funny projects
for the new challenge:
Cut It Up

Include a Joke or Riddle

Sponsor:
$20 Gift Certificate

My Project:

So I have to admit this card is not new,
I made it 3 years ago, but it is perfect for April Fool's
AND it is one of my most favorite cards I have made :)

So my card isn't necessarily a "Joke" or "Riddle",
but it is an unexpected answer from the old adage of
"when life gives you lemons"

But it is definitely my Motto...
Drum Roll Please.....

Ha, bet you didn't see that comin' ;)
LOVE IT!!!

Anyway, I used Simply Charmed for the lemon/limes.
I also used Just Because Cards for the glass image;
I used vellum to create a shinier effect.
The b/g papers are from Echo Park and DCWV.
I inked up the edges with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink
and used ribbon from American Crafts.
I printed the phrases out from my computer.

If you love Diet Coke as much as I do
and haven't tried limes with it...
I highly recommend it,
I has made my life much happier :)

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

She is graduating this Spring with a Master's
and I am so proud of her dedication and hard work
with getting her degree while managing a
household of 5 kids ages 18 - 8.
She's a superwoman!!!

Anyway, I used Outdoor Man for the "U",
Everyday Pop Up Cards for the Grad Cap,
and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.

It was super easy to put together,
and good thing too because I made 20 of them :)

BBTB2 - Spring Fling and Easter Things

Happy Monday!

What a day!
My husband got the all clear from the Cancer Clinic today!!!
He had a Bone Marrow Biopsy a couple of weeks
ago with the fear of a relapse,
we got the results today and he is still in Remission!
Happy Day :)

Anyway, over at BBTB2 another challenge has started
all about Spring and Easter.

How awesome is this egg cut from Designer's Calendar?!?!
I think it is fabulous :)
Every year I am the one to host the Egg Coloring Event
with my nephews, nieces; of course my kids are there too.

It is one of my most favorite traditions!
The adults hide the eggs on Easter Sunday for
the kids to find and once we think we have found them all,
we make Potato Salad and Deviled Eggs - YUMMY!!!

My b/g paper is from CTMH, the egg paper is DCWV.
I had a scrap border that I used which kind of
gave the feel of "grass" I thought.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Decorate To Celebrate - St. Patty's Day!

Happy Wednesday!

St. Patty's Day is TOMORROW?!?!
That's crazy!

What fun traditions do you have for this fun holiday?

I wear green, that's about the extent of it for me :)

Well, over at Decorate To Celebrate,
why don't you show off some fun ways you decorate
for St. Patrick's Day?

Here is a fun vase I made using
some tags tied with twine.
The sentiment is from a Fiskar's Holiday Set.
The shamrock is cut from Create A Critter 2.

And who says plastic grass is just for Easter?
I filled the bottom of the vase with it and then
I can add Gold Coins or whatever on top;
I will most likely fill it with Rolo's
wrapped in gold foil :)

I hope you will join us over at Decorate to Celebrate!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

My 7 year old is talking about him this year and
I just don't know about it...

Anyway, we all better be thinkin' green this week
because over at BBTB2 we want
to see your St. Patrick's Day projects :)

These cute clovers are from Create A Critter 2.

and added some foam tape to make them pop.

My base mat is from The Paper Studio,
the other papers are from my scrap stash.
