Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #67 - Valentine Treat Bags

Can you believe that we are already prep'ing for Valentine's Day?  I can't, so I sure am glad that we have a challenge going on over at Decorate to Celebrate to help us get going!!!  Yep, that's right! We want to see all those amazing ways you like to put treat bags together for this "LOVE"LY holiday!

One of my most favorite ways to put treat bags together is with some Hershey's Nugget Chocolates.  My first and foremost love in crafting is PAPER!!! and I LOVE to find fun, cute, fabulous paper and show it off! And this is the perfect way to do it.  Wrap those chocolates around with your favorite paper by cutting strips that are 1" x 3".  Use some good, strong adhesive and apply it on each end of the strip - wrap it around evenly, and WhaLa!  SO CUTE!!!  You can use any size cello bag you want, mine is, 3 1/2" x 6".  My topper is made by folding over a piece of 4" x 4" cardstock and stapling it to the bag.  Then just decorate that with more cute paper.  My heart image is cut from Cricut's Create A Critter 2 cartridge and my sentiment is from CardzTV "Happy Days" stamp set.  I used foam tape to pop the image and sentiment flag up off the topper.  SO EASY!!! I am planning on having my son give this to his preschool teacher next month, while I think of something else for the kids in his class :)

Be sure to check out the other awesome treat bag ideas from my DT sisters over at Decorate to Celebrate - I'm sure there is something to get you inspired - and moving - before this holiday gets here :)

Craftin' Desert Divas - Shape Card Linky Party

Shape Card Linky Party

Sponsors:
Too Cute By Jessica $20

Lovebug Creations $5.

My Project:
This Cupcake Shaped Card comes from the Something To Celebrate Cricut Cartridge.  There is a Card Creative Feature on this cart, and I LOVE it!  This adorable little cupcake card was cut at 5" but the layering is cut at 5 1/2".  The yellow frosting is cut with some glitter paper and looks FABULOUS in real life - this picture doesn't do it any justice.  I decided to emboss the underneath frosting with Divine Swirls.  The rest of the paper I found in my scrap stash so I am not sure where it's from, but I do love the pink polka dot as the wrapper.  I hope you will join us for our Shape Card Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas and please make sure you check out the DT's cards - they are AMAZING!!!

BBTB2 - Get Well Soon

This week over at BBTB2, it's my turn to host the challenge!!!  I decided that because it's winter, one of the things that we deal with is sickness - I know - NO FUN! But when someone does get sick, isn't it always nice to send them a little card wishing them well?  So I figured this is a great time to stock up on our
Get Well Cards.

My card was made as follows:  The flower was cut from Forever Young (flower2) cut at 3 1/2" and Elegant Edges scallop mat cut at 4". The paper is from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad and Recollection's ribbon and flat back pearls.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's "Feel Better Soon" stamp set.  Super easy to put together.

I hope you will join us this week over at BBTB2 for our challenge!

My Project:
So, I just have to say how much I LOVED working with the paper I got from the Paper Temptress!!! The DT was able to order some for this challenge, and I couldn't be more happy with my choices.  First off, I LOVE the shimmer and shine to this paper - BEAUTIFUL!!! Secondly, it cut and embossed PERFECTLY!!!  What more could you ask for in paper, right?  Anyway, I decided for my CAS card to make a Valentine's card.  The sketch comes from Mojo Monday, so I will link this up over there.  I rounded all my corners though, using my large corner rounder from Hobby Lobby/Paper Studio.  I used Swiss Dots, Divine Swirls, and Doodle Hearts embossing folders.  My hearts come from the Sweethearts cartridge and my sentiment stamp is from a Fiskar's mini set.  I will also be linking this up over at Little Scrap Pieces.  I hope you are able to join us this week over at HIMCR for our CAS challenge!  Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Birthday Cards With Number/Age

Hello! and Welcome to another challenge hosted by Bitten By The Bug 2! This week we want to see all your cards/projects that feature a Birthday theme including numbers and/or the age.  I have created a fun little card for my nephew who is turning 6 at the end of the month.  I used the Birthday Bash cartridge, which is an AWESOME cartridge featuring cute animals holding numbers/ages.  I improvised a little bit with the shark, he is supposed to be holding a 5, but I stole the 6 from a different page and modified it to work with the shark.  So the shark is cut at 4", the 6 is cut at 2".   (Check out my Video to see how it all worked out).  I have the shark on an Action Wobble which makes it that much more fun!  The base card is even cut from Birthday Bash - another fabulous feature of this cart is the card/tag creative feature - some amazing options there!  The water paper comes from Colorbok paper I purchased at Wal-Mart.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer and used some We R Memory Keepers Baker's Twine to top the card off.  I hope you are able to join us this week over at BBTB2 for our Birthday/Age challenge!
I am also going to enter this card into the Fun Friday Linky Party over at Little Scrap Pieces and the Action Wobble Challenge of Unusual Pets - I think a shark would be an unusual pet, don't you?
