BBTB2 - Sympathy Card

Happy Monday!!!

Welcome to another challenge over at BBTB2!

Bitten by the Bug 2

For this week's challenge, Sharon has chosen to
showcase Sympathy cards.
So be sure to check out the DT's projects!

Here is my card:

I used the Serenade cartridge for this lovely flower,
and Elegant Edges for the mat cut.

I ran the mat through the Birds and Swirls embossing folder
in my Cuttlebug.

My pattern paper was from my stash, I don't know where it's from
other than my good crafty friend Michelle who sent it to me.

My silk ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas "Simply Said" set.

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 for this week's challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up Challenges - Embossing

 Happy Friday!!!

We have a new challenge starting over at
Cut It Up today!!!

Cut It Up

Challenge #63
National Braille Literacy Month
Must Use Embossing

Sponsor:
Prize: 4 Digital Stamps

Here is my project:
The design team each got one of the cute
digi stamps from Meijen's Designs.
I wanted to use "Knitted with Love" - SO CUTE!!!

I just used some colored pencils to color in my image.

I used a Spellbinders die cut for the mat and then
used some scallop scissors to cut the sides down.

My papers come from My Mind's Eye as well as some
scraps in my stash.

I decided to try out Heat Embossing,
I have had my heat tool and embossing materials
for a while, but haven't really tried them out.
This was the perfect opportunity :)

Here is a close up:

The stamp is from Craftin' Desert Divas "Simply Said" set.
The heart is from George.

I hope that you will join us for our
Embossing Challenge over at Cut It Up!

Decorate To Celebrate #92

Happy Wednesday!!!

Welcome to another challenge over at

Remember all challenges are
Anything Goes :)

So I am in the process of redecorating
our Living Room/Piano/Sitting Room.
We recently bought a new couch and
I want to completely revamp the feel of this room.

I wanted to start by creating a Monogram
as a decor piece to either be placed on
a shelf I will have above the couch
or I may give in and make a burlap wreath
and add this to the bottom section of it - haven't decided.

Either way I am loving how this turned out!

I bought this curly "M" from Hobby Lobby
and painted it dark brown.

I traced the letter onto some CTMH paper
and fussy cut it out.
I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper,
then sanded around the edges.

I also inked around the edges with some ColorBox Chalk Ink.

The color is a close match to my new couch :)

When I saw this burlap flower at Hobby Lobby,
I knew I had to use it!

It actually is the inspiration behind my ideas
for what to do in this room.
I just finished up some burlap curtains for my window!

The strand of pearls is from Michael's.

I hope that you will join us over at Decorate To Celebrate
for another challenge with us!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

BBTB2 - Cricut Letters or Phrases

Happy Monday!!!

Bitten by the Bug 2

Today over at BBTB2,
the wonderful Pam has chosen a super fun challenge
to use letters or phrases from a Cricut Cartridge!

So for my project, I decided to make a
Valentine's Card and use one of the
phrases from the TBB&M2 Cart!
LOVE the phrases on this cartridge!!!

And I decided to make a shaker card :)

The heart is from George, the Silhouette feature.
I cut it at 3" 12 times out of white cardstock,
then once out of pink glitter paper.
I cut the regular heart cut twice,
once out of red glitter for the background,
and once out of acetate for the cover.

The phrase was cut at 1 1/4".

The paper is from My Mind's Eye.

The pearls are from Michael's.

Here is a close up of the beads, sequins, and glitter hearts
for the shaker:

Super fun to make and super easy too!

I hope you will join us this week
for our Phrases/Letters challenge over at BBTB2!

BBTB2 - Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Happy Monday!!!

Bitten by the Bug 2
Today over at BBTB2 we are honoring how cold it has been this winter
with a challenge to use a Snowflake on your projects!

Here is what I came up with:

I used Art Philosophy for these two snowflakes and sentiment tag.
The paper is from American Crafts "Wonderland" 6x6 pack.
The sentiment is also from an American Crafts Christmas Stamp Set
and I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I used some fun glitter gemstones from
Recollections to add a little bit of bling :)

Here is the inside:

I just used a strip of the paper and cardstock
from the front and used another stamp from the American Crafts set.
I used CTMH Lagoon ink for that.
I hope you will join us this week
for our Snowflake challenge over at BBTB2.

I even have a video for you!!!

Decorate To Celebrate - Menu Board

Happy Wednesday!!!

Welcome to another year of
Challenges!!!

We have a few new DT members too!
Make sure to check out their blogs and follow them :)

Remember we made some changes last year
and made every challenge
Anything Goes!
We just ask that if you create cards,
they have a 3-D effect (i.e. box cards, tri-fold, etc.)

So here is my first project of the year
in hopes of getting more organized in the kitchen :)

A Menu Board

This is super easy to make!
All you need is a cookie sheet from the $1 Store,
Mod Podge, Clear Stones (about 1" in diameter), magnets,
super cute papers, and cardstock.

I cut the letters using George and
the boxes you can make from TBB&M or TBB&M2.
I just used black and white cardstock for these.

Cut your papers to how you want them to fit on your board.
This is a great way to use scraps :)
Then Mod Podge them to the cookie sheet.
And if it seems that there are bubbles in it,
they actually will go away and the papers will dry flat.
(Speaking from experience on this one)

The boxes were adhered with double sided tape after
all the paper was dry.

Cut paper to fit under the clear stones and Mod Podge
the letters and paper to the back of the stones.
Then glue the magnets on, I used Mod Podge for that too!

I cut a bunch of small strips of cardstock
so I could write the dinners on them.
I put them in the top box and fill out the board
with what we will eat that week.
When we are done with the
week, they go in the bottom box.
Hopefully this will eliminate duplicate dinners
so close together, and we can have a fun rotation of meals :)

I punched two holes in the top to create a "hanger" out of ribbon.

I am thinking of making another one of these
but it will be a "GOAL" board.
We'll see :)

I hope that you will join us over at Decorate To Celebrate
for our first challenge of the year,
and remember it's
Anything Goes!!!
