Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #69 - 3D Flowers or Birthday

Happy Wednesday!!! It's time for another challenge over at Decorate To Celebrate and this time we want to see all those marvelous 3D Flowers that we all LOVE to make!  It's amazing to me that we can make paper flowers look so real and there are so many different styles out there - it's just fun to be inspired!

For my project, I created another centerpiece! This time with flowers instead of snowflakes :)  I filled my vase with fun river rocks and tied some tulle around it.  The flowers were cut at 3", 4", and 5" from the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge (found on page 39).  There are actually 6 different styles of 3D flowers on this cartridge, the cut I used was just a regular flat flower because I needed to make 15 of these centerpieces in a relatively short amount of time for a funeral luncheon.

The paper is what makes these flowers so pretty.  I used a 12x12 paper pack from Crate Paper that I bought at Michael's, but there isn't a "name" tied to the pack.  The whole pack is filled with beautiful flowery reds, oranges, pinks, and browns.  I attached a flat back pearl to the middle of each of them and I used one of my Bic Mark-It's to color some of them to match the paper.  Again, I just used some floral wire to attach the flowers to.  I really like how these turned out and the luncheon looked beautifully decorated.

I hope you are able to play along with us over at Decorate To Celebrate and show off your amazing
3D Flowers!

You can always submit projects with a Birthday Theme too!!!

I am going to be entering this into the February Linky Party over at Everyday is an Occasion and over at
Just B Creative Crazy.

My Project:

First off, sorry this is so picture heavy!!! I was trying to get my pictures to show how glittery this card really is, and it took more than one :)

Anyway, over at Craftin' Desert Divas it's all about the Glitter!!! I LOVE glitter paper so I was excited to be able to use some from the DCWV Glitter Mat Stack.  My niece recently turned 8 and was baptized, my family and I are LDS so this is a pretty big milestone!  My mom asked me to make a card for her for this occasion and this is what I came up with.  I printed the sentiment "I Like To Look For Rainbows" from my computer and I used this sentiment because it comes from a favorite Primary song that the children like to sing about Baptism.  The rainbow is from Create A Critter and I just used some white silk ribbon from American Crafts.  My sentiment on the inside comes from CardzTV "Happy Days" stamp set.

I hope you are able to link up with us over at Craftin' Desert Divas - we have some AWESOME sponsors!!!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least one Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

My Project:

So my MIL asked me the other day to start working on some more birthday cards for her to give out to family throughout the year...I LOVE doing this for her, so of course I got started right away!  I was super excited to be able to use a paper pack I got for Christmas from Santa too - Carta Bella's Giddy Up! pack is so fun!  I have a niece that is totally into riding horses and so I made this card with her in mind for my MIL to give to her for her birthday in May.  That was long-winded :)

Anyway, I used Summer Celebrations for the lasso/rope (3") and just cut off the Yee Ha! that comes with it. I did cut the shift phrase at 2" for the YeeHa! in the bottom corner.  I also used "Just Because" Cards for the boot and cut it out on flip at 2 1/2".  The three rhinestones are from Michael's and were the perfect addition for this cowgirl card.  The inside of the card was pretty simple, just a white cardstock mat with the sentiment stamped in the top corner - the sentiment comes from a Fiskar's set.  I used a piece of the pattern paper from the front to dress up the bottom and cut the saddle from the Toy Story cartridge at 2".

I hope my MIL will use this card for my niece because I think it turned out super cute!!!

And I hope you will join us in the fun sketch challenge going on over at FCCB this week!!!

I'm also entering this card into CardzTV Birthday challenge.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Well, Valentine's has come and gone, but I wanted to make one last Non-Traditional Valentine's Day Card and thanks to DCWV's All Dressed Up Glittered Mat Stack I was able to pull it off!!! I pulled 4 different coordinating papers from this pack and let the paper do most of the work! This card was simple to put together and I have a video for you to see just how easy it was.  I only used one Cricut cut from George, the heart, but I did cut two of them :)

Please join us over at HIMCR for our challenge to use at least 3 different pattern papers on your projects - so FUN!!!

I am also entering this challenge into Mojo Monday, Exploring Cricut, Die Cuttin' Divas, and Little Scrap Pieces.

My Crafty Space

Hello! Happy Monday! Today over at BBTB2 we are having a different type of a challenge - but it's not really a challenge at all - we want to see where your creativity happens!  We all have some sort of crafty space and we would love to see yours! We, the DT, have all posted pics of our spaces so make sure you check out all of our blogs - some of them are AMAZING!!!

So without further ado, I will walk you through my crafty space...

This is Command Central!
I LOVE having pretty much everything at my fingertips!
We just converted a regular corner computer desk into my craft desk.

This is where I keep/organize my cardstock and mats.

My cartridges, cutters, stamps, and finished cards are on this side of the desk.
Oh, and I rarely am in my craft room without a Diet Coke (today it was featured in my NFL tumbler).
The best time I find to craft is when my baby is down for a nap (notice the baby monitor on the shelf).

All of my embellishments, i.e. buttons, brads, flowers, and bling, as well, as my adhesives, ink pads, and smaller stamps are kept in the AWESOME white plastic trays I get at Wal-Mart for .50 cents a piece!
The cubby shelves are the perfect size for these trays.

The desk drawer is perfect for my tool kit, scissors, blades, and punches.

Next to the desk is where I keep my ribbons, twine, tulle, and jute - it's a mess :)
My husband is still figuring out the best way to go about making me a ribbon holder, but this one works for the time being.

The other half of the ribbon table is my where I do my embossing, binding, and laminating.
My embossing folders and Spellbinders are kept in the wicker basket.

Then there is the Changing Table turned Crafting Shelves.
All my pattern paper and packs are kept here.
My acrylic paints, stickers, vinyl and various other crafting materials are here as well.

Close up of the paper -
 I LOVE PAPER!!!
and I don't have near enough of it :)

So that's pretty much it! It's not much, it tends to be a mess, but it's my space and I LOVE it!

Hopefully, you will join us in this week and share your space with us!

My Project:
Welcome to Super Scraps Saturday!!! Today we have the chance to show off some of the CUTE Digital Stamps from 2 Cute Ink and I was so excited to work with this Ladybug of Love!!! I am going to give this little card to my niece for Valentine's.  I used my Bic Mark-It's to color the image.  I framed it with the awesome heart frame from the Elegant Edges Cartridge and embellished it with a ruby red flower from Michael's. My paper was from my scrap stash, so I don't have the details, but I am pretty sure it was from a paper pack I bought a few years ago at Hobby Lobby.  I also cut some small hearts out and added them on the white cardstock with my Zig Glue Pen.  I did pop up the framed image on some foam tape so that there is a bit more dimension with the card.  I hope you will join us for our challenge and use up some of those scraps that have been lying around!
