I have been following this blog for so long
it's quite the honor to be guest designing
alongside this Design Team!
So THANK YOU for giving me this opportunity!!!

The theme for the week is
Anything Goes!

Here is my project:

I decided to make a Birthday Card, because
really you can never have too many of those on hand!!!

I LOVE this gift image from the Cricut Sweethearts cartridge
so I decided to use it for my card.
My paper comes from Fancy Pants "Park Bench"
6x6 paper pack I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I used the Paper Studio's Curl Ribbon Embossing Folder
for my blue mat and George for the circle/shadow.

The enamel dots are from Recollections.
My sentiments are from Craftin' Desert Divas
and CardzTV.

I hope that you will join in over at Die Cuttin' Divas
for this week's challenge!!!

Here is a video of how this card came together:

And now for my project....
For my project today, I created a thank you card using
the Beary Thankful stamp set.
I LOVE how versatile this sentiment is!
I was able to create a card that wasn't necessarily Fall related!

My little bear comes from Create A Critter 2.
All my papers are from Ki "Berry Blast" 6x6 pad.
I ran a couple of the mats through my Cuttlebug
using Swiss Dots and Curl Ribbon.
The twine comes from American Crafts.
I hand cut the sign the bear is holding
and cut around the sentiment mat with
The Paper Studio's "Regal" scissors.
Finally I popped up my bear with some foam tape
and everything worked out great!

Here is a close up of the sentiment:
LOVE it!!!

Next up on the Line Up is the amazing Jessica

Winners will be picked from a different blog each day,

hidinginmycraftroom.com
HIMCR Challenge #124
Die Cuts!!

Prize:
Robot Party and Space Party
Cricut Cartridges

My Project:

Here is another sympathy card that I needed to make for my husband's co-worker who lost his dad.  Such sad occasions, definitely not "fun" cards to make, but I do enjoy trying to create something that might bring some comfort.  I used Walk In My Garden for the flowers/vase and Elegant Edges for the mat.  My paper comes from a ColorBok (Wal-Mart) designer paper pack.  I used The Paper Studio's Curl Ribbon folder for the embossing on the vase and popped up the mat with some foam tape, as well as the flowers/vase for some extra dimension.  I hope that you will join our challenge this week at HIMCR, all you have to do is include a die cut on your project! Thanks for checkin' in!

What Problem?

It's the start of a new linky party over at Craftin' Desert Divas  -- "Say It With A Sentiment".  We have some AWESOME sponsors too!!! KaDoodle Bug Designs is offering $15 and The Robin's Nest is offering $10, so be sure to get your projects linked up!!!

For my project, I decided to use a stamp set that I have had for almost a year and have never used!!! I bought it specifically for the sentiment "I don't have a problem with Caffeine, I have a problem without Caffeine" - LOVE IT!!! I'm a HUGE Diet Coke lover and this sentiment is perfect!!! And although my card is based on coffee, I don't drink it, but my sister does and I will probably send this to her :) Anyway, I have put together a video for you to show how it all came together...hope you'll watch!!! My image is from the Christmas Cheer cartridge and my paper comes from Basic Grey "Paper Cottage". I used the embossing folders "Curl Ribbon" from The Paper Studio and "Birds and Swirls" from Cuttlebug. I am also linking this up over at Little Scrap Pieces.
Thanks for checking in!!!

Hello Little Bird

Cricut, Live Simply, We R Sew Easy

I have embarked on another set of challenges rolled up into one card--Mojo Monday, HIMCR (Color Challenge), CardzTV (Sew Much Fun), and Whimsical Designs (Going Buggy).  I used Live Simply for the cute little birdie in the nest, and We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy tools for the stitching around my base mat. My paper comes from Recollections and DCWV Cafe Mediterranean and Linen Closet Mat Stacks.  I did use The Paper Studio's Curl Ribbon Embossing Folder and a stamp from a Fiskars everyday sayings set.  I have also made a video showing how it all came together, hope you check it out!

Birthday Princess!

Once Upon a Princess is the cutest cartridge!  Not only are there cute little dress up princesses, 3D images, and a font; it has a TON of different tags for sentiments.  I was very impressed and excited to discover that.  Anyway, I created this card for a few different challenges.  Crafty Cardz "Make A Wish" is to create a birthday card for a child and Celebrate the Occasion issued the challenge to create a birthday card for a girl and include pink; so naturally I combined those two challenges.  Whimsical Wednesday issued a sketch challenge and I know that my card doesn't follow it exactly, my sentiment is not the central focus, but I came close so I'm entering that challenge as well.  This is definitely a girly card with the glitter and the bling, but it's cute and fun.  I inked around the base mat, embossed the second mat with the Paper Studio Curl Ribbon folder and the patterned mat is from The Sweet Stack by DCWV.  I hope that whoever the little girl is that receives this card is super happy with it!

Okay, So One More Valentine...

I totally lied, I said I was done with Valentine's cards.  One last one, I promise!!!  I couldn't NOT participate in the Crafty Cardz Challenge, especially since it's the first one after the launch of the new and improved name!  I'm so excited for Mary and her team over at CardzTV!  The challenge was to create a Valentine with a "critter".  I have combined this challenge with Whimsical Wednesday's challenge of 3, 2, 1 (3 of something, 2 of something, and 1 something).  Well, I found a cute Studio G stamp set for $1 at the "Wally" store, as we call it in our home (Wal-Mart), with the Owl pun and I wanted to use it.  I decided not to use the obvious Owl from Create-a-Critter, even though he is soooo cute, and opted for this little guy from Animal Kingdom.  I have had the Animal Kingdom cartridge for over a year and have never used it, I thought now would be a good opportunity to try it out.  The branch is from Home Decor and the cartoche is from Sweethearts.  I embossed the light pink mat with Paper Studio's Curl Ribbon Embossing Folder, which you can't see very well, but it is a very close match to the strips of patterned paper, which by the way there are 3 of.  The owl's 2 eyes are Recollections Rhinestone bling.  And the 1 bow is tied from Jute and stuck on with a glue dot (and can I just say, "How did I make it almost 2 years crafting and card making without ever using glue dots?" I LOVE THEM!).  I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dyed Distress Ink and popped the owl and sentiment up on pop dots.  I'm happy with how it turned out, the owl isn't my favorite; he definitely isn't as cute as the Create-A-Critter one, but he works.  Thanks for enduring this post, if you got through it, so many run-on sentences my English professor would scold me!  Happy Valentine's Day!!!
