FCCB - Challenge #186 Ribbons and Buttons

Hello all you FCCB fans and all my followers!!!  We have another fun challenge starting today all about Ribbons and Buttons!  I have a friend whose birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her a fun card!  I pulled out my Sweet Treats Cartridge and created this bright and colorful 5x5 card.  I love the colors and patterns, I really hope that she will like it!  I cut the phrase at 2 1/2", but I didn't use the cake that comes with the phrase in the handbook, instead I used the individual cake image and cut it at 3 1/2".  I embossed my border with the Chevron embossing folder from The Paper Studio, and the cake with Swiss Dots.  I did do some stitching around the edge of my base card, but you can't really see it in the picture.  My cake is popped up on some foam tape and I topped it with a cute button for the cherry.  I used some We R Memory Keepers Baker's Twine for my ribbon.  Also, the word "cake" is cut out of some pink polka dotted paper I found in my scrap stash and popped it up on some foam tape too for some extra dimension.  I wish the picture captured just how fun this card is in person, but use your imagination :)  I hope that you will join us over at FCCB this week and use up some of your ribbons and buttons from your stash!!!

I seriously think I am going to be using every single Halloween cut in Create-A-Critter 2 by the time this month is over - LOVE LOVE LOVE all of them, they are so cute!!!  So my little Trick or Treat Pumpkin bag is from that cartridge, I cut it out at 4" and ran the orange piece through the Cuttlebug using a Chevron Embossing Folder from The Paper Studio.  My patterned paper is from The Paper Studio All Seasons II, Recollections All Seasons, and The Scrapbooking Company; my candy corn stickers are from a puffy sticker set I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby a year or so ago and can't remember who made them.  I used my Zig Zag Scissors from The Paper Studio to cut along the one side of my paper and popped up the bag on some foam tape. I'm really loving the "fun" this card conveys about trick or treating!  Hope you will be linking up with us over at Cut It Up for this Halloween/Day of the Dead challenge.  I am also going to be entering this card in the CardzTV "Ghost and Goblins" challenge, the Halloween linky party going on over at Craftin' Desert Divas, and Little Scrap Pieces.  Thanks for checking in!!!

 

  

Cut It Up Challenge #28 - Going In Circles

 

Happy Friday!!! It's another start to another AWESOME challenge over at Cut It Up Challenges! For my project, I used the Button Bingo Itty Bitty stamp that Unity Stamp Company so graciously sent me to build a "fun and games" birthday card for a pre-teen boy.  My pattern paper all came from DoodleBug's Day to Day 6x6 paper pad that I purchased from The Royal Castle Shoppe on FB.  I used George to cut out all my circles, Mini Monograms for my letters, and Wrap It Up for my game controller and "jacks".  I also used Swiss Dots, Modern Wallpaper, and Chevron embossing folders to add some dimension to a few of my cuts.  Be sure to watch my video to get all the crafty details of my card...it was super fun to put together!!!
