BBTB2 - Valentine's Day Anything Goes

Happy Monday!!!

Today over at BBTB2 I am lucky enough to host this week's challenge.
I decided that it was time to kick it in gear and start thinking about
Valentine's Day :)

So this week I thought it would be fun to do an Anything Goes
Valentine's Style....

So as I was scrolling on Facebook the other day,
I came across a post from my Design Team Sister Sukie over at
Scrappin Dhilly and I immediately fell in love with her
Valentine Topper. (Thanks Sukie!!!)
I knew it was exactly what I wanted to CASE
for this year's Valentine's I make for my
friends, co-worker's, and my kids' teachers.

Of course, it isn't exactly like hers, how could I compete :)
But I did what I could with the materials I had.
The hearts I cut from George, the topper base is from
Elegant Edges, as well as the scallop trim at the top.
The arrow is from Small Talk Frames and Tags.

I rifled through my ribbon bins and found some fun
pieces to use. I also ordered on Amazon a TON of
little key embellishments - which I LOVE, and added
one to some twine and just clipped them all together
with a mini clothes pin I picked up from the Dollar Store.

Of course the chocolates are the Hershey's Nuggets
wrapped in strips of Valentine scrapbook paper.
I also used the cut out hearts from the topper as
confetti in the bag, so nothing went to waste :)

My XOXO stamp is from a Fiskars stamp set
and I decided to do a little bit of blush inking on the hearts.

I really like how these turned out,
now I just need to make 30 more :)

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2 this week!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cupid Strikes Again!!!

Welcome to this co-hop with Die Cuttin’ Divas and Cut It Up!!!
We are so glad that you are joining us today
and super excited to share our inspiration with you.

We will have a line-up of DT members from both teams
sharing Valentine projects and we are hoping you enjoy them all.
Our teams even had to play cupid
and send their project to a fellow team member as a surprise.
How is that for sharing the love?!?!

How about some prizes?
Craftin' Desert Divas ~ 2 digi stamps of choice
KaDoodle Bug Designs ~ 2 $5.00 certificates
As Cute as a Button ~ Buttons
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon ~ $15 gift certificate

Cupid’s Rules…
1. Make sure you are a follower on each stop along this hop.
2. Leave a comment on each project and you will be entered
to win one of the prizes.

Prize winners will be announced on Valentine's Day, February 14th.

Here is what I came up with:

I created my project for Esther on the Die Cuttin' Divas team.

For my project I started with a base out of some
craft cardstock cut at a standard A2 size.
All of my decorative paper is from My Mind's Eye -
LOVE their paper!!!

My layout is just layering different papers every which way :)
I used some flat back pearls from Recollections
and my Ric-Rac Ribbon is from American Crafts.

The hearts are cut from Doodlecharms using the border feature,
and I just cut them out of some light pink cardstock.
My sentiment is from a Fiskar's Holiday Set
and I used Momento Rich Cocoa for the ink.

For the inside I used some more My Mind's Eye paper.
I used Elegant Edges to cut the scallop border at the bottom.
The heart was just in my scrap stash,
so I can't remember which cartridge it came from.
The sentiment is also from Fiskar's.

Thanks for checkin in!!!

Your next stop is my "Secret Sister" Esther,
I sure hope she liked my card :)

If you get lost along the way, here is the line-up....

Thanks for spreading the love!

Cut It Up! - New Year, New "Bag"innings

Happy Friday!

How are you all surviving the 1st week of the New Year?

Cut It Up

Well, today over at Cut It Up we have
a super NEW challenge....
Decorate a Paper Bag :)

Our Sponsor:
$20 Gift Certificate

I have never decorated a paper bag before,
I don't think I would have ever thought of it either :)

But I have to admit, I will probably do this A LOT
more often!!!
It's such an awesome idea for a gift bag!

And what an awesome way to use up some
scraps that are piling up in your craft room!
Seriously, do you have as many scraps as I do?!?!

So I pulled out 3 coordinating scraps, I am pretty sure they
came from a paper pack from Hobby Lobby.
Cut a fun tag from Art Philosophy out of some other scrap paper,
added a scallop border at the bottom, cut from Elegant Edges,
and used some Trendy Twine for the top.

The sentiment comes from My Craft Spot's
"Feel Better Soon" set which I LOVE!

All I need to do now is part with some of my chocolate stash,
fill up the bag and deliver it to someone who needs
a little pick me up!

I hope that you will join us over at Cut It Up
for our new challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

at JoAnn's.

The paper is from Echo Park.

BBTB2 - Pumpkins

Happy Monday!

I hope you all survived the Halloween weekend
and Daylight Savings :)

As time continues on, we are looking forward
to Thanksgiving and all things Pumpkin!

So the challenge over at BBTB2 is
to feature a Pumpkin on your Thanksgiving cards.

My favorite pumpkin cut is from Freshly Picked.
I used the flip feature and cut the stem on the other
side of the pumpkin so I could fit the sentiment
in the upper right hand corner.

The background mat is paper from CTMH
and I used Elegant Edges to cut it out.

My pumpkin papers are from Basic Grey.
The jewels are from Darice, and
the sentiment is from CardzTV.

It's a super simple card, but I like how it turned out.

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

My 3 year old daughter is going to be starting dance lessons

to create projects that have to do with dancing.

I used Once Upon a Princess for this little ballerina.
My papers are from My Mind's Eye.
The base mat was cut from Elegant Edges.

The glitter ribbon is from CTMH.

I used a Fiskars stamp for the "Bravo" and the

The paper flowers are from Studio G
as well as the stamp.

My card size is 5x5 and the frame is cut at 4 3/4,

I decided to use the Songbird cartridge for this challenge.
I don't use this cart that often, but found this cut under the
Perch Creative Feature and thought it would work well.

I cut it at 4" out of some shimmery gold cardstock.
My pattern papers are from American Crafts.
I did use Elegant Edges for my mat.
The Pearls are from Recollections.

Happy Monday!!!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Bitten by the Bug 2

Today over at BBTB2
the challenge is all about Clocks!

I decided to use the clock from Wrap It Up.
I basically stuck to the colors in the handbook and just
used papers from my scrap stash.

I used Elegant Edges for the mat.
My b/g papers come from We R Memory Keepers
Anthology 6x6 paper pack.

I used some flat back pearls from Recollections
to add a little balance.

I can't decide what type of card this will be,
but I am thinking either a Father's Day or Retirement Card.

Cut It Up Challenge #56 - Purple, Orange, Lime Green with Black

Cut It Up

Use Purple, Orange, Lime Green & Black

Sponsors:
One Stamp Set

$20 Coupon Code

My Project:

Hey!!!
Happy Friday!!!

Today over at Cut It Up we have a super fun challenge
to help you get ready for Halloween!
But you don't have to necessarily create a Halloween project!
Just create a project using the colors
Purple, Orange, Lime Green and Black.
So yes, those are your typical Halloween colors,
but if you check out all the DT projects,
you can see that not all of them are Halloween related!

Mine of course is :)

I loved the sketch over at Mojo Monday this week,
so I have followed that and will enter this card for their challenge.
I will also enter this in over at

My papers come from lots of different paper packs,
so I am sorry that I don't know the names,
but I think there is some Basic Grey paper,
Ki paper and some open stock.

The bat comes from TBB&M2.
There is a fun Halloween tag on that cartridge,
and this is the negative image that is left over
LOVE IT!!!
So I just adhered the body down with a glue dot
and the wings are flapping up.

The scallop border comes from Elegant Edges.

My twine is from American Crafts and We R Memory Keepers.
The enamel dots are from Recollections.
My sentiment comes from a Studio G $1 Set I picked up
at JoAnn's.

So come on over to Cut It Up and join
us for our color challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!

Decorate To Celebrate - Anything Goes!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Oh, boy! have we had some changes over at

All good, but one very sad (sniff, sniff)...

In case you haven't heard,
all of the challenges from here on out are
Anything Goes!
AND you are allowed to enter cards as long as
they are 3D or Box Cards.

We also have a few new members or our DT!
I am excited to be working alongside
more talented ladies!
So be sure to check out their blogs
and start following them!

Now the sad news,
Lisa, my dear friend and DT sister,
has decided to step down as Co-Host and will no longer
be on our team :(
I will miss her tremendously!

But we press forward and create on, right?!?!

Here is my project:
I am a little late on getting Birthday gifts to
my Mom and SIL, but I finally finished them!

A few years ago, my good friend gave
me a Flower Pot Pen Bouquet
and I LOVED it!
They are proudly displayed in my kitchen
and I ALWAYS know where a pen is :)

So I thought this would be a perfect gift to make and give!

It was SO EASY!!!

I just went to Hobby Lobby and bought
some cute plastic flowers, stem tape, rocks, and the metal pots.
I also bought a super cute paper pack from
Fancy Pants Designs called "ParkBench"
LOVE it!!!
Most everything was 50% off and if it wasn't
I used my 40% coupon.

So basically I made two of these for
SUPER CHEAP!!!

I cut the tag (and shadow) from Elegant Edges and
stamped "be happy" with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The stamp comes from Studio G and I am
sure I picked it up at JoAnn's for $1.
I added an Enamel Dot from Recollections
and hot glued the tag to a craft stick.

I added some black and white chevron paper strips
around the pot to add just a little bit more embellishment.

I think they turned out SO CUTE!!!

Here are some more pics...

I hope that you will join us over at the new
for our first Anything Goes challenge!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

FCCB - Tag You're It!

Howdy All!

Happy Monday and Welcome to another challenge over at FCCB!!!

Challenge #228 Tag You're It

Create a Tag or Include a Tag on Your Project

This Weeks Sponsor

Crafter's Companion Prize Package which includes
4 sets of alcohol markers that have 6 markers in each set,
a 20 pack of alcohol marker paper,
some marker trays and one of the Spectrum Noir DVD's
To qualify for the prize,
be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project
and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

My Project:

Are we seriously already thinking about Halloween?!?!
Why YES we are!

I used Tags Bags Boxes & More 2 for this fun Halloween Tag.
I cut it at 4" once out of chipboard and once out of some
Halloween paper from The Paper Studio's All Seasons Pack
from Hobby Lobby.

My stamp is from a $1 set I purchased at JoAnn's and
I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I cut the sentiment tag from Elegant Edges and
used a black enamel dot from Recollections.

I had a circle scrap from my stash that worked perfectly with
this card, and I think the paper is from a Ki paper pack I
picked up at Wal-Mart.

I inked around all my edges with Slate Ink from
Close To My Heart.
I topped it off with some black tulle and ric rac ribbon.

I am not that great at Halloween projects,
but this turned out pretty well I think :)

I hope that you will join us over at
this week for our Tag challenge!

I am also entering this in over at Little Scrap Pieces
and DL Art.
