Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #110

Happy Wednesday!

Today we start a new challenge over at

I decided to make a new Halloween Decor project.
I had a scrap of wood in the garage that I found
and painted it with black acrylic paint.

I found some cute orange and white chevron paper
in my stash and used Mod Podge to adhere it.

I pulled out my Celebrate to Flourish cartridge
and cut out the "Trick or Treat" and
altered it to fit my block.
I used my Xyron machine to adhere the phrase.

I had some glittery orange tulle that
topped everything off.

Turned out whimsically cute :)

Decorate To Celebrate #94

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hope your week is going well!

we have a new challenge starting, and
remember as always, it's Anything Goes!

I decided to create a new St. Patrick's Day
decor piece.
I had my husband cut out a 7" x 11" piece of scrap MDF
we had in the garage.
I painted it with some Buttercream Acrylic Paint
then Mod Podged some cute Chevron paper (Hobby Lobby) to the front.

I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.

The Shamrocks are from Celebrate With Flourish (LOVE this cart).
The letters are from Lyrical Letters.
And they are cut out of cardstock (not vinyl).

I adhered them all with my ATG and Zig 2 Way Glue Pen.

I love how this turned out :)

I hope that you will join us over at Decorate To Celebrate
for our new Anything Goes Challenge!

My Project:

Thank goodness it's Friday, right?!?!
Today over at Cut It Up we have a new challenge

I love Easter and the family traditions that come with it, like coloring eggs and having a huge egg hunt with all the kids, making Deviled Eggs and Potato Salad once they have all been found - YUM!
What are some of your favorite traditions?

Well, for my card, I pulled out one of my favorite holiday cartridges - Celebrate with Flourish - and created this pretty little card.  All my pattern paper is from Authentique, my flowers are from Michael's and my sentiment is from CardzTV "Happy Days" stamp set.

I have a video for you too!

I followed the sketch from Die Cuttin' Divas this week and am linking this up over there.

My Project:
 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope everyone had a marvelous Christmas this last week and as we look to the start of a new year, I hope that you will find excitement in what's to come.  Do any of you make New Year's Resolutions? I haven't for a few years, but I think I will for 2014.  I am finding that I have so much room for personal improvement that I want to set some realistic goals to try and be better!

Anyway, the card that I created for this Cut It Up challenge was made using the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge and papers from ColorBok (Wal-Mart).  I used some bling from Recollections and I do have some shimmery cardstock for the red hat and gray swirls, you just can't tell in the pic.  My sentiment stamp comes from a Fiskars holiday set.  I hope that you will join us for our challenge and link up your New Year's Celebrations cards or projects!

Giving Thanks Home Decor

Cricut, Celebrate with Flourish, Home Decor, Wood Crafts, Vinyl Lettering
I have finished a Home Decor piece for Thanksgiving.  I free-handed a pumpkin shape on some wood, then had my DH cut it out for me.  I painted it with some acrylic paint (brown for the back & green for the stem).  I Mod Podged some pattern paper on the front, then cut the "Giving Thanks" phrase out of some vinyl.  The phrase comes from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge and I cut it at 4 1/2".  I am happy with how it turned out and I will be linking this up over at Decorate to Celebrate for their Thanksgiving challenge, as well as Craftin' Desert Divas.  Thanks for checkin' in!!!

My Project:
Cricut, Celebrate With Flourish, Turkey, Thanksgiving Card
I am truly loving all the turkey cuts from the different Cricut cartridges I have, and I especially love this turkey from Celebrate With Flourish!  I decided to make a 5x5 card so I could make the turkey the central focus of the card.  I cut the mat from Elegant Edges and my pattern paper comes from the All Season's packs from Michael's and Hobby Lobby.  I used Divine Swirls for the embossing on the turkey and I popped him up on some foam tape.  I really like how this turned out!  I hope that you will join us for our Linky Party going on over at Craftin' Desert Divas, there are some great sponsors too! Thanks for checking in!!!  I will also be entering this over at CardzTV and 2 Creative Chicks.

BBTB2 - Use A Pumpkin

This week over at BBTB2 we have a challenge all about Pumpkins!!!  I am going to be heading out in search of pumpkins this week with the family for our porch decorations/jack o'lanterns and am excited to find the "perfect" pumpkin!  But as far as Cricut cuts go, I think the pumpkin from Celebrate with Flourish is pretty darn close to a "perfect" pumpkin so that is the cut I used for my card this week!  I am anxious to see all the different pumpkin images that you come up with and how you use them on your cards, layouts or projects!  I have a video showing everything used to make my card, so I hope you watch it.  I hope you will be joining us this week for our challenge, too!  I will be linking this up over at Craftin' Desert Divas Halloween Linky Party, Exploring Cricut's Halloween Challenge, and CardzTV "Ghosts and Goblins" challenge.

The Color of Fall Leaves

Cricut, Celebrate with Flourish, Elegant Edges

I have put together another fun fall card for a few more challenges!  I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for the week, CardzTV "Colors of Fall" and An Inky Situation "Fall Leaves" challenges.  I used Celebrate with Flourish for my fun leaves and popped them up on some foam tape for added dimension.  The pattern paper used for my mats is from TPC Studio "Rustic Garden Fall Phrases" and my circle that I cut from George at 2" was from a My Mind's Eye paper pad, but I don't know the name of it because it was in my scrap stash - sorry!  I cut my scallop border from Elegant Edges at 3/4" and trimmed off the excess length, and you can't tell in the picture, but I did emboss it with The Paper Studio's "Stripes" folder.  Lastly, my ribbon is from Studio G.  Thanks for checking in!

FCCB Challenge #170 - Fruit Salad

It's another Fabulous Challenge Me Monday over at FCCB - Fruit Salad! This week we are challenging you to create a card, project, or layout using any sort of fruit.  So get those Cricut's chirpin'!!!  Here is a video of how I went about putting my card together:

I used Celebrate with Flourish for my YUMMY! Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Mini Monograms for the flower/scallop the strawberry is popped up on. I inked the edges of my awesome new paper (My Mind's Eye Indie Chic) with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. I found some flat back pearls from a Michael's $1.50 bin that worked perfectly and my sentiment, well watch the video to see how that came about :)

Cricut, Celebrate with Flourish, Mini Monograms, Tags Bags Boxes and More, Cricut Cards

The inside of my card I did something a little different. I have never done this before, but I made a little pocket, like you would for a mini album, and a tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. There is space for another sentiment stamp on the front of the tag and the back is ready for a hand written note. You could also use the pocket for a gift card or something fun like that! I do like how this card turned out and I am excited to actually give this one away!!! (I find myself hoarding my cards - does anyone else do that?)

And because the papers and colors for this card are some of my absolute favorites, I am going to be linking it up with Whimsical Designs this week.  Hiding In My Craft Room's challenge for the week is Freestyle, and Paper Playtime's challenge is Pattern Paper, so this fits the bill for those too!

My #1 Dad

Here is the Father's Day card I have created for my Dad.  I personally think he is the best dad in the world.  But we all should think that of our fathers, right?  Hope so!  He is not a golfer or a fisherman, he is the ultimate Handy Man.  When I went through all my carts, I didn't have anything that I could use for tools.  I went to MyCutSearch.com to see what carts had tools and low and behold there is a cart called "Handy Man".  Of course it is no longer available unless you want to pay $100 for it on Amazon or Ebay.  SO BUMMED!!!  That cart would have been so perfect for me to create a card for my dad.  He is a builder/carpenter/jack-of-all trades and I love him for it!  Anyway, I ended up using this cut from Celebrate with Flourish, it will definitely work.  The patterned paper is from The Guy Stack from DCWV, all the tools and masculine colors - awesome!  I will be entering this card in Paper Playtime (use two or more ribbons/twine/cord), CardzTV (Father's Day), My Craft Spot (Dad), and even though this card isn't exactly the sketch from Mojo Monday, I did draw inspiration from this week's sketch to create it.  Thanks for visiting!

Most Loved Mom

Here is my card for my dear MIL.  Once again, my camera just doesn't quite capture the colors of this card, so just know that it does look really great in person.  I used Celebrate with Flourish (a new cart I just got and LOVE!) for the rose, cut at 4".  When my FIL was alive he would always give my MIL a single rose for special occasions, so I thought this cut would be perfect.  I used Birthday Bash for the scallop card base and mat, cut at 5".  BBTB2 , My Craft Spot, and CardzTV have challenges this week of creating a card for Mother's Day, so I am linking this up to those blogs.  Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day this Sunday!
