It's another fabulous challenge over at FCCB and I was super excited to be able to use my new Winter Woodland cart again!  I cut the snowman out at 4" and embossed the body with Divine Swirls.  I also freehanded a little nose for him - thought he needed it :) I used Elegant Edges for my scallop mat.  My pattern papers comes from an All Seasons Pack from Recollections. The sentiment comes from a CTMH stamp set.  I did pop up my snowman using some foam tape.  I hope that you will be able to join us over at FCCB for our challenge this week of creating a Holiday card using any colors EXCEPT Red and Green.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Thanks for checkin' in!!!

My Project:
Cricut, Celebrate With Flourish, Turkey, Thanksgiving Card
I am truly loving all the turkey cuts from the different Cricut cartridges I have, and I especially love this turkey from Celebrate With Flourish!  I decided to make a 5x5 card so I could make the turkey the central focus of the card.  I cut the mat from Elegant Edges and my pattern paper comes from the All Season's packs from Michael's and Hobby Lobby.  I used Divine Swirls for the embossing on the turkey and I popped him up on some foam tape.  I really like how this turned out!  I hope that you will join us for our Linky Party going on over at Craftin' Desert Divas, there are some great sponsors too! Thanks for checking in!!!  I will also be entering this over at CardzTV and 2 Creative Chicks.

Give Thanks - Life is Good!

Cricut, Doodlecharms, Thanksgiving Card, Divine Swirls, Leaves

Here is a quick card I put together for a couple challenges this week.  Exploring Cricut challenged us to create a card using 1 pattern paper, 2 Cricut cuts, and 3 different colors.  The sketch comes from Mojo Monday.  I will also try and link this up at My Creative Time for their challenge.  I used Doodlecharms for the leaves and embossed them with Divine Swirls.  I also embossed my banner with the Leaves embossing folder from The Paper Studio.  My stamps are from Studio 112 and My Creative Time.  Please check out my video to get all the details of how this card came together.

A Ruby Tuesday

Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge Cupcake Swiss Dots Embossing
Happy Tuesday! Over at Die Cuttin' Diva's a new challenge started today - "Ruby Red".  And although I don't use Red very often, I did enjoy making this card.  I found some fun patterned paper in my stash that I thought would work great.  It is from a 6x6 Colorbok (Wal-Mart) paper pack, so it's a bit thinner but I put it on a heavier mat and it worked out great.  The layout is courtesy of Mojo Monday, so this will be entered in their weekly challenge as well.  I embossed the brown mat with Paper Studio's Quatrefoil folder, the cream mat was embossed with Swiss Dots.  The red mat is a shiny ruby red, but the camera doesn't capture it too well.  The last challenge I am entering this into is Use It Tuesday's Birthday challenge.  I cut the cute cupcake from Sweet Treats and embossed the cake with Divine Swirls.  I also used foam tape to pop the image up a bit.  Part of Use It Tuesday's challenge is to use hoarded crafting supplies, and I have to say I have had these two red buttons for over 2 years!  So today, I am using them - finally!  Hopefully you can join in on one of these three fun challenges!

So Happy For You ... FCCB Challenge #165 Wedding Days

Come on over to FCCB this week and play along with another great challenge!  It's all about Wedding Days!  Have I mentioned that we have a bunch of weddings this month?  2 down, 2 to go and this card is for the 3rd wedding we will be attending.  Anyway, I used Birthday Bash for the scallop circle shape card and mats. I used Sweethearts for the wedding couple and ran the dress and veil through the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder. The veil was made just by cutting out the hair in white and layering it. The couple is popped up using two thicknesses of foam tape. The patterned paper comes from My Mind's Eye 6x6 Lost and Found Madison Avenue pack. The sentiment is from the CardzTV Happy Days stamp set. I hope the happy couple will like this card!

So Happy For You!

Here is the third wedding card I have come up with and I am entering it into the challenge Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge has issued - Use Foam Tape.  Can I just say that I LOVE foam tape!  Marvelous Mary over at CardzTV has been using it and mentioned she buys it at Big Lots and that it's pretty cheap.  So on one of my ventures out I went in search of it.  I did find it at Big Lots and it is CHEAP!  I don't think I will ever by dimensionals again!  It works great and one roll goes a LONG way.  Thanks again Mary for another awesome tip!

No Bugs About It...

A couple weeks ago I got the Live Simply cartridge and have been anxious to use it, so when I saw the challenge issued by My Creative Time to create 4 3x3 cards featuring "critters", I was all over it.  I have a friend who's birthday is coming up and I thought I would give her this set of cards.  I am loving this cartridge with all the cute insects, flowers and other critters of nature.  The patterned paper comes from DCWV 6x6 Kidlet Stack.  I popped up the images on one thickness of foam tape and embossed the flowers, leaves, and wings (even though you can't tell in the picture).  Thanks for stoppin' by and checking out my project!

FCCB Color and Shape Challenge

What a fun challenge FCCB has this week!  Come on over and participate by creating a card using the color Yellow and a Triangle.  Yes, it is a color and shape challenge.  My little card was created with the Sweet Treats cartridge.  I used the Argyle, Divine Swirls, and Swiss Dots embossing folders for the ice cream cone, rounded the corners and added yellow brads, then inked up the edges of all my yellow paper with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The fun paper is from the DCWV Sweet Mat Stack.  It's simple, but I like to show off the paper sometimes and not cover it up too much with images or embellishments.  Thanks for stopping by!!!

The Power of Purple

I can't believe I have to wait until October to give this card to my sister.  She LOVES purple, and even though Amethyst is the birthstone for February, I'm using this for her birthday.  BBTB2 has offered up the challenge to create a cake or cupcake card using Amethyst in honor of February.  I am also entering this card in Paper Playtime's challenge this week of using a sentiment stamp.  I used Sweet Treats for the cupcake, sent the chocolate through the Divine Swirls embossing folder, inked up all the edges too.  It was fun combining all the papers and shades of purple for this card.

Just Chillin'

Bitten By the Bug 2 and Whimsical Designs issued challenges this week having to do with winter because it's been so cold lately.  We experienced more single digit temps in January than I can remember...it was COLD!  Anyway, this cute snowman was cut from Doodlecharms, then I ran him through the Cuttlebug with the Divine Swirls folder and tied some WRMemory Baker's Twine around him for his scarf.  His blown-away hat is from Create-A-Critter as well as the phrase.

Have Your Cake...

I combined two challenges for this card, Pause Dream Enjoy issued the challenge themed "Desserts" and Paper Playtime issued the challenge themed "Brown".  Chocolate Cake, anyone?  Yes, please!  This slice of cake was cut from Sweet Treats, with Divine Swirls embossed into it.  The lettering on the inside was cut from Lyrical Letters.  I love brown and pink together, so this card was definitely my style!  Hope you enjoy, even if you can't really eat it!

Two in One Day!?!?

So another one of my favorite challenge sites is Fantabulous Cricut(www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com). They issue a new challenge every Monday, which is great! I know I am almost out of time with this challenge, but I figured while I am at it, I might as well make my other niece a Valentine's Day card. We just needed to include a heart on our project. This particular niece is the complete opposite of her sister, and loves everything girly and cutesy, so I came up with this cute little card for her. The koala is from Create-a-Critter, as well as the hearts. I used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder for the mat. Hopefully she will think it is adorable!
