Craftin' Desert Divas Daily Blog Post - What A Scholar!

YAY! for Saturday!!!
Did you all survive the week?
I am so happy it's the weekend!

I am so excited to be showcasing one of my favorite stamps
from Craftin' Desert Divas School Zone set -
"What A Scholar!"

I absolutely LOVE this stamp,
the font is fabulous!
It can be used for so many occasions during the
school year!

So here is the card I created using this sentiment...

Here is a close up...LOVE it!

My card is 5x5 and I used paper from The Paper Studio's
All Occasion pack (Hobby Lobby).

My little nerd (who I really think needs a tan) is from
Create A Friend - I LOVE this cut!
He is popped up on some foam tape
which gives the card some great dimension.

The yellow brads are also from The Paper Studio.

I inked around the edges of my papers with Tim Holtz
Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Super fun card!

And take a look at the rest of the AMAZING
sentiments on this set...

BBTB2 - Apple for the Teacher

Happy Monday!

We have another challenge starting for you over at BBTB2!
Can you believe school is here?!?!
Our theme for this week is to create a Back To School project
featuring an Apple!

I cut this apple from the Recess Cartridge and
the yellow mat from Elegant Edges.
I popped both of these up on some foam tape.

The "A" and "is for" are both cut from Nate's ABC's.
These are adhered straight on the b/g paper
which is from DCWV "School Days"

I added some brads in the corners for extra embellishment.

Super easy to put together!

I hope that you will join us this week for our
School Challenge over at BBTB2.

I am also going to enter this in over at
for the Back to School challenges over there.

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Cut It Up - Inspired By A Song

YAY!!! It's Friday!!!

I hope your week has gone well and you are
all ready for the weekend!!!

I am so excited for the challenge this week over at Cut It Up!!!

It is so clever - Evelyn did an awesome job with this theme!
You need to create a project inspired by a song!
How cool is that?!?!

Our Sponsor:
$10 Gift Card

My Project:

Okay, so at first I was inspired by one song (Happy)
then it evolved to another (Here Comes the Sun).
I explain all this in my video :)

Either way, this card was SO QUICK & EASY!!!
I think it turned out super cute too!

So the Sun was cut out using Create A Critter
and I "cheated" by adding rosy cheeks to the cut.
It is popped up on some foam tape for fun dimension.

Both sentiments are from CardzTV's Summer Fun set - LOVE!

The paper is all from Heidi Grace's Sunshowers and
I used American Crafts twine.

The sketch is from Die Cuttin' Divas this week!

Here is the video:

Craftin' Desert Divas - Bugs & Kisses

Happy Thursday!!!

I hope you all are having a fabulous week so far!

I am so excited for my Daily Post over at Craftin' Desert Divas today!
I LOVE the sentiment "bugs & kisses"
from the newly released Lil Bit Buggie set.

This set is AWESOME!
There are some fabulous, one of a kind sentiments
that Tara has come up with and I LOVE them all!
You can purchase this set HERE.

So here is my card...

I had so much fun making this card
centered around the sentiment!

My little grasshopper is cut from the Live Simply cartridge.
Although I added some kissy lips :)
The scallop heart border is from Spellbinders Edgeabilities.
I actually combined two different sets of border dies
one from Classic Scallop and the other from Classic Postage Stamp.
I LOVE how versatile these border dies are!

And if you didn't catch it, the lips are from one of the hearts
in the border after I cut it out of some red cardstock.
I used my Cricut Cuttlebug with the Spellbinders.

My pattern paper is from the Heidi Grace Sunshowers
6x6 paper pad - LOVE this paper!!!

I used some rhinestones from Michael's
to add a little bit of bling to the card.

I used some yellow Trendy Twine, too
(sorry I don't know the official name of this color).

My little scallop circle for the sentiment is from Mini Monograms.
Don't you just LOVE the smaller case letters on this stamp?
I do!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!!!

I am also going to link this up over at Pause Dream Enjoy
for the Kids Challenge.

Decorate To Celebrate - School Days

Hey All!!!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

How is everyone's week going?
I hope you have all been able to get some crafting done!
I try to everyday :)

A new challenge has started over at Decorate To Celebrate all
about School Days & Going Back To School!

Well, the countdown has started here at our house for
KINDERGARTEN!!!
I know it may not be that exciting,
but I have waited my son's whole life for this day!

Now, he will only be in school for 3 hours,
but 3 hours EVERYDAY he will be out of the house!
Don't get me wrong, I love my "bestest buddy",
but OH MY he is a handful of energy
and it will be so nice to have him
use that energy on school!!!

So anyway, I know that Box Tops are
the thing to collect once you start school,
so I thought that I would create something
to put these in that would be fun for my son.

WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD :)

So here is my project:

We just recently went through one of the large Taco Seasoning
containers from Costco and as I was about to throw it away,
I thought, "No, I could make something out of this."
Good thing I held onto it :)

My paper comes from an All Seasons Pack from
The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).

All my cuts come from the Recess Cartridge.
And I have popped them all up on some
foam tape.

The words/phrases were on one of the sheets of paper
in the same All Season pack from Hobby Lobby.
I just cut them out and adhered them to
some purple cardstock.

The ribbon was given to me, so
I don't know where it is from.

My son really liked how it turned out!

He is excited to start filling this up!

I hope that you will join us for this School Days/Back To School challenge
and show us some of the fun projects you have created!

And please remember you can always link up Birthday projects.
And although cards and layouts are fabulous,
we are not that type of a challenge blog!
We want to see projects more along the lines of
decorations, invitations, or party favors.
Thank you!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!
